He made the most of what he had whilst fully respecting the fans and the club - some people say oh its just a PR spin, well what else is the other option? Pardew telling us what our place is again and again? Sure some transfers were totally off during his tenure but he is a Champions League and La Liga winning manager that stayed with us to take us back up and stabilised us when we came back (with more or less the Championship squad). He never needed to stay beyond our relegation. I can understand people who may have seen him as "negative" (I mean he did make us hard to play against and before him it was a long long time before that was ever the case with an NUFC team) but I will never understand people who outright call his time here as anything but helping us move forwards (for the time). His club choices after leaving us have been terrible for him but I am glad that he managed us as he, for me, at a certain time in football was definitely a top manager. Perhaps not elite, but top.

I think 9 times out of 10 a sub that gets subbed off is not happy when that happens if the circumstances are not relating to a red card to another team member. I don't see the issue with his reaction personally as the amount of competition for spots in this team it shows he is keen to prove himself.

Think he played okay personally, obviously given his age and he's only joined in January its still early days to be overly critical.

100% this - I love the lad for his commitment and desire there is no doubt whatsoever but watching his lanky legs in the opposition box or flank you just know there is an attack with potential very highly going to waste here. A squad CB and a solid one at that is what he should be. People have been happy to disregard his flaws as we have been getting results.

Dynamic, clinical and cool as fuck. I can't remember the last time I saw us have a striker with so much to his game as well as potential like this guy before. His strengths outside of the box are just as mint as they are inside, which makes him a very handy player for his positon.

They have Tim fucking Howard, who I have noticed any praise he gives us is through gritted teeth. Never ever seems to even back us.
