I must be the only one who thinks that's a good result for us. Chelsea do not have the level of consistency to sustain a run of form, no chance. Neither do we, nor Man United. It will be very tight.

Will raise my hand and shamefully admit when Pope first joined I thought he was a sidewards step in comparison to Dubravka and was in the same bracket/level. Fucking hell was I wrong. Although at times I have seen people blame Dubravka for things that aren't entirely his fault, generally when we concede a penalty and need him to save it or if he is in a 1-on-1 situation, I have zero confidence in him since he's come back. I think earlier during his time here he was such a clear improvement on Darlow in terms of confidence and shot stopping and he cost peanuts which is what endeared him to many.

I hear you but rather useful with above average end product than out ya seat with below average end product. I am convinced in the long term he will be a clear and obvious improvement on ASM.

If we finish 7th this year given the undeniable shitshow of crap luck we've had then I say he's done a good job all things considered and is worth giving him next season as ultimatum. 7th is still on the overall forward progress.
