  1. or it could also be next to no points if our new defence isn't an immediate improvement
  2. He'll score some goals, but not expecting him to be any kind of saviour I think he'll probably end up with 4-5 or so until end of the season

    Sunderland

I wouldnt even watch another "Sunderland til I Die" I don't even find their plight funny anymore, it's just sad and irrelevant to me. I'll crack up it they don't make it out of League 1 this year for a bit and get on with my life within a minute. They'll probably be making "Rafa Beneath Us" banners.

I work in Sunderland, I find it hilarious how they know the ins and outs of what's going on with us whilst I cannot name you a single player from their squad the last few years Newsflash: Nobody, absolutely nobody gives two shits about League 1.

    Matt Targett

Some real 'Son I am disappoint' vibes going on there.
  6. Yikes - League Two?! That is some drop, practically pub football
  7. I hope Willock finds some form again second half of this season now that we have added Bruno
  8. 6 - there is still room for Wood to get his shit together before Wilson comes back Our biggest issue is holding onto a lead - I hope with the additions in defence we are now in a better position to do so.

    Jamal Lewis

This guy is Championship quality - one decent game hasn't changed my opinion and the sort that we used to look to buy in the hopes of selling for a profit in the Ashley era, a model that we have become less effective at year by year under him.
  10. Surely have to try for PEA now..
  11. They've probably mentioned us and Everton because of our money if anything
  12. I think they will to be honest, if they waited for a year to get the purchase finalised then I can see them sticking around to get the club back up again and going once promoted. I had concerns over the "saving face" sociological aspect of Saudi culture once Masters and the EPL fuckers were twating around and PIF withdrew so I could not see the actual sale happening a year later, they did stick with it so I can definitely see them sticking with the project beyond whatever happens and having them treating the players and the staff with such a warm welcome is reassuring. However, I remain to be entirely convinced about their approach this month, its all well and good you want to play it smart and not be taken advantage of by overpaying but then when we go down because we didn't spend an extra 10 million once or twice in important positions then that doesn't look very smart at all. Lets see what the next few days bring. Personally, I have always thought of Saudi as a country with money but not ability to execute (no pun intended) vision/possess intelligence akin to UAE or Qatar (the fact that Qatar more or less found a way to thrive perfectly fine during the political tensions with Saudi Arabia last few years, as Saudi tried to ostracise them, should tell you something). This can change though and NUFC can be part of that change, I hope. Look up MBS - Saudi Vision 2030.
  13. My guess means fuck all. I never thought the Saudis would stick with this deal in the first place after being fucked around, hence why I practically never popped up in those two threads that were going at the time. The Gulf Arab amused thing was more at me being amused at them enjoying traditional Gulf style Music/Dancing. Unless you're being sarcastic here then shit man, with you being on an online forum where I cannot hear your tone of voice the last thing I need is reading this at midnight. Got me worried again now about being gullible.
  14. Happy clappers man. Clubs like Brighton with grounds like theirs are a dime a dozen in this country File under 25,000-30,000 seater generic dispensable club. QPR, Wigan, Norwich, Sheffield United etc etc etc the list goes on...
  15. This is twice as funny to me being an actual Gulf Arab To be honest, given the treatment they are giving the squad its a made me feel a bit more reassured that they are still interested in the project and the club even if we go down this year
  16. I fucking hate them. Long may it continue.
  17. Journos know nothing 90% of the time
  18. The Irish Colback The invisible man Jeff, please do your invisible trick and this time don't come back from it.
  19. Sam Allardyce was a survival specialist and WBA got relegated. I wouldnt worry too much about it as football in this country at the highest level has clearly changed and some managers with certain reputations have ideas that just aren't effective anymore They are still very much in the thick of it and it's still very much a gamble.
  20. Leicester's title winning season was momentum, exceptional form from Vardy and all the top teams being inconsistent. Spurs finishing 2nd that year tells you everything you need to know. I suspect Ranieri had the ability to keep those things going rather than any kind of tactical mastermind. Pardew finished 5th with us - sometimes all you need is someone who has the personality and capability to maintain that harmony and momentum.
  21. It says - We welcome Newcastle United Football Club in Jeddah and look forward to our first friendly meeting source: im arab

    Ryan Fraser

End product non-existent, supposed to be an alternative outlet when the attacking play doesn't involve ASM but he's just not producing the goods at all
  23. I'd be more confident if they hadn't just found some form, a month ago would have been a different story.
