Newcastle United lose Judicial Review against HMRC
Amir_9 replied to ChrisMcQuillan's topic in Football
That f***ing club statement, wow. Pathetic. First rule of f***ing PR, never respond with "no further comment / no comment" This is worrying... -
Surely there are strikers of his age and not much higher than his transfer value that can do the same job he does as well as are better at finishing. I was expecting him to be somewhat like what Carroll was for us (in the Championship) this year, but wasn't the case.
-
Like Mitro, I expected more from him this season We know he can score goals in the Prem, I would be happy to have him as backup. But I am biased, hes one of my favourite players.
-
I am hardly a fan of this guy but credit where its due, the presence of mind and pass to Atsu was super at a moment in time when we really needed that.

Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League
Amir_9 replied to Figures 1-0 Football's topic in Football
What was the stat of only 2nd club to go straight back up in 6 years or something? Can anyone link me that graph of the amount of teams going straight back up again? -
Given quite a few goals away this season as well as dangerous opportunities that nearly shot us in the foot I rate him based on some of the excellent saves he's made over the season but his overall game and focus needs tremendous improvement.
-
I was thinking this guy would score today as well.. got something to prove.. poor recently etc.. Was he even in Anglia?
-
Honestly, I said this before but what do you expect when you buy a player for that much from Hull City? While he has had some OK moments at beast this season generally hes been crap and we can't rely on a player like this in the Prem
-
Agreed. Stopped a counter attack in the final minutes in a somewhat safe area.
-
Out of curiosity what positive was there to take from Perez today?
-
Unless I'm mistaken we fare quite well against Mick Mcarthy teams.. A narrow win, probably Ritchie or Shelvey.. cant trust Perez and Mitrovic this year
-
Another "passionate" performance with some sparks but no goal. This lad for the price tag hes come with has been a disappointment. I'm with Al on this one
-
FUCK SAKE Should have buried this game well before that. Perez and Mitrovic have been a major major disappointment in this league.
-
This will end in a draw
-
Maybe they'll play well today as they're running out of time but I don't see them winning
-
Whilst I will admit he has done OK in his little cameo yesterday.. I still don't see how some of our fans still want this guy to be playing more. He has no sense in his head that would stop him from being constantly carded meaning he's always a calamity waiting to happen (Wolves away case example) and he has Fluffed his lines time and time again. For a striker his price he is painfully mediocre. So much for setting the Championship alight. Passion is not a quality if you don't have pace or a good fnishing ability. "He's played less than 900 minutes. Less than 10 whole games in a 46 games season scoring 4 goals and assisting 3 times. Give him a break." "How many cards does he have this season?" Murphy, an originally underwhelming signing, has done better when called upon generally without us having to worry about his attitude.
-
If it weren't for the good run of form and evident talent we saw from him in the Prem then I would have given up on him a long time ago. Its a shame because I quite like him as a character.
-
Going to probably end up missing this first half, fucking massive train delay. Was meant to arrive an hour ago. Hows the game so far?
