this fucking thread man. People will be questioning why we sold him even on the day he retires, and that's a long way to go I'd imagine. I came in to see why the thread is still at the top, saw it's the same repetitve issues. So, not going to come in again. We sold him. He's another club's player. Might as well support players we have right now than crying over what we don't have. Not the first time we've sold a player for peanuts anyways. Get over it. Move on.

I'm so glad the fangs on our home shorts are black and not whotenor any different colour. The other adidas clubs had visible fangs on their shorts apart from us and Villa. And I like that we're back in black socks again this season. Seeing adidas ads on the LED boards is much better than seeing Castore ones too.

I'd rather have Ipswich than Norwich in the Prem. Good opening day showing. Love Portman Road too.

But..but..but some of our fans don't want us to lose our history and identity....and would rather the club be stuck on the same pot of.land forever.

We'll still be Newcastle United if we're at Castle Leazes fwiw.

Getting the location right is important but also the capacity should also be an important consideration. I understand that some are against going with anything above 70,000 for fear that there will be empty seats because we won't be able to sell all the seats for every game. However, I'd think our owners will be thinking to build as big as possible and not for football purpose only. Imagine the various other sporting and non-sporting events that could be held at a new stadium. Revenue with a bigger capacity stadium would be something they'd consider I would think.

That's a lot more to get settled then.

He's had almost a year to settle in a new country and at a new club. Yes, he has not been playing. But the everyday training, the coaching, the getting used to the tactics and etc, hopefully this return will be mega. and also hopefully, that midfield pairing with Bruno and Big Joe is going to rip the league apart like no midfield trio has ever done before.

Totally agree with this as I was going to say the same thing about him. It struck a nerve with me that he was appointed as their manager on 25th May and a few weeks later, he was in Germany along with his pals for the Euros doing punditry work. Yes, I understand that he had probably signed up as a pundit even before he got the Plymouth job and had contractual obligations to fulfill. But I wouldn't have been too happy as a Plymouth fan, after just surviving relegation on the final day of the season to see your newly appointed manager on Tv in Germany talking about the Euros. Could never imagine Howe prioritising other work before his tea team, contractual obligations or not. Even when we were jetting out to Japan, he was analysing stuff on his laptop before the players even got on the plane. Super proud and grateful of our manager like.

Love that football is back. Brilliant sunny Sunday afternoon match from Hillsbrough too. Reminds me of the Beardsley and Ginola game we had down there. Early season Sunday game in August.

Winner gets 3 points. Loser gets Fraser.

The commentator is the same as last night? If it is, that's the legendary John Helm. Still going at 82. -
We're going to win the leayyguee marra. FTM!!!

From some pics I saw of the match last night, there are no adidas logo on the Gallowgate roof as there were for Puma and Castore are there? Made the stadium look much cleaner. I like it.

Majority of our fans don't want to move away from the current location. But just move a bit up the road and exten SJP or build an entire new stadium.

Regarding Chelsea, can't remember where I saw it but have they gone and signed a 9th (NINTH) senior goalkeeper? Think tje story was they're loaning him out this season and getting him back next season. Is it true? Bonkers really. Hardly surprising seeing it being them but 9 keepers ffs.

Goodness. I don't mind pink kits but that one needs a bit of getting used to see.

Actually, I'm also putting a bet on him scoring against the mackems. -
Someone mentioned it literally 2 post up from you mate.

Fair enough. So Ten Haag won't be having this lineup until atleast November (is it?) when Rasmus is back? Think you'll still do well without him and Yoro at the start. Need atleast 4 points by the end of August though or the media will be on Ten Haag's back.
-
Serious question as I don't really know the answer but what in your eyes is Ten Haag first choice eleven?
