    Eddie Howe

No offence, but I utterly detest this "he used to be an under 23's coach, so he can't be elite". A lot of people start their careers at an entry level job and work up, it literally means fucking nothing to his current job role. I fail to see what impact what someones job was a decade ago has to his ability to do it now. People grow and change, learn new skills, and adapt to the environments they are in, digging someone's careers up to have a pop and the current setup is frankly ridiculous. Besides that same Simon Weatherstone has been here for the last 4 years, and been part of the same coaching staff that saved us from certain relegation, got 2 Champions League campaigns, a cup win, and has been working with a group of internationals that whole time. And what evidence is there that they are yes men exactly?

I'll give you one guess, his name rhymes with Puke Forwards.
  4. Sounds like he'll miss this weekend according to Howe.
  5. Hilarious that the team managed by a former set-piece coach are bottom of the list

    Harvey Barnes

I thought we where past the "Barnes was a mistake" thing given he's been hands down out best attacking player over the last year, but I guess its a bit like the "Howe signed nothing but duds at his time at Bournemouth" line, in that it keeps getting spouted despite it being proven as utter horseshit from the initial moment it got said.
  8. Probably our best away half this season, and we're losing

Personally I don't mind that they're trying something a bit different, after all, there are only so many ways you can do black and white stipes, so a bit of originality isn't a bad thing, that shirt look decent enough but its not one I rush out to buy, I do hope the back is black and not white though.

I don't doubt that its the kit, as per KI, but is that AI Generated? Just looking closely at the badge and the "Newcastle United" text looks off, as doe the little bit of text at the bottom right of the shirt:
  12. Over £80m on two players that so far this season have a combined 1,851 minutes for a total of 2 open play goals all season.

    Dan Burn

Fernandez was a solid CB like, not exceptional at all, but solid all the same, we had a combination of pretty decent CB's that Bruce just utterly annihilated, or decided that didn't like, Schar, Lejeune, Fernandez etc, and basically all of them ended up being usurped by the great CB that is Isaac Hayden
  14. Found it really odd in the post match press conference that Luke Edwards asked Howe if "Harvey Barnes is okay after that miss at the end" like he's going to be utterly distraught, sad and sorrowful at that one miss when he was off balance.
  15. So, we'll play either Qarabag or Monaco in the next round, if we get through that, according to Fotmob we'll play one of Chelsea or Barcelona:
  16. Such a good performance and result, but frustratingly it means fuck all After a really ropey 20 minutes, we looked pretty comfy in our plan, and they had no answers really bar a Vitinha long shot, Howe got is absolutely spot on really. Ramsey, Elanga and Wolte all had really good games imo, Elanga in particular was probably the best i've seen from him, his possession work was really pretty decent, and he grafted his bollocks off. The whole back three where fucking immense too, each and everyone of them. Dan Burn coming back from a bruised lung and fractured rib and producing that is god like. That was easily Willocks best game, and probably my man of the match. Only a potential trip to Azerbaijan in the next round

    Dogawful Officiating

To all the people that say that the refs on the continent are better than that which we have here, show them this prick. They're all equally fucking inept.
  18. I love when the first goal went to VAR, the expression the ref gave was "Why the fuck am I looking at this"

To me the combo has to be: Shirt: Predominantly black Shorts: White Socks: White
  20. Really assured professional performance that and probably our best of the season, Wissa getting a goal and an assist could be massive for the rest of the season if it gives him the confidence to go on a run, the assist in particular was great work, and a goal we haven't scored this season, but was one we have scored regularly over the past 3/4 season, so hopefully it was a sign of us getting back to our best. Defensively and out of position we where unreal, they have only failed to score once this season and that was back in August, so to keep a clean sheet, and for them to never really have a chance of note is a real positive, and back to back clean sheets hopefully means defensively we trending towards what we know we can do. Tonali had probably his best game in 3 months as with Gordon, Hall continues to be the best LB we've ever had, and Barnes is easily the most clinical and ruthless player we have. Such a good win.
