Home and Away table so far this season:
-
You should have joined the traitors game if you wanted something to do
-
I'm really game someone picked up on that comment

This isn't necessarily on the player though, it on UEFA for creating a situation where this happens, top level footballer are just playing an exorbitant amount of football, that to try and find time to actually recover, rest and recuperate is just next to impossible, and the schedule is just getting worse and worse. So whether you like it or not, players have to make tough decisions about when that happens, especially when it's literally their body they're running into the ground for the aim of entertainment, and a competition that is basically a bunch of glorified friendlies, is going to be something that players look at as a way to actually get that rest, and recover. It's going to happen more and more too and UEFA and FIFA don't give a toss about player welfare and keep adding more and more games to the calendar.

You must be a loving husband, watching a Blackpool game managed by Steve Bruce in the EFL trophy. I don't think a more grim sentence has ever been written That said, Steve Bruce might as well be living in Paul Scholes house with how much he tastes defeat.

Its the following: Wins: 11 - Notts Forest (A), Arsenal (H), Tottenham (A), Villa (H), Chelsea (H), Leicester (A), Fulham (H), Brentford (A), Tottenham (H), Everton (A), Norwich (A) Draws: 3 - Leeds (H), Arsenal (A), Crystal Palace (A) The Stat is Premier League only fwiw, they did all start together against Dortmund last year and we lost 2-0.

Trafford was already with the Under 21's and likely already at St Georges Park when Ramsdale pulled out, given they'd already have begun training, it just makes sense to pull Trafford across then to wait the 4 hours it'd take Pope to get down from Newcastle (or where ever he is in the world given they've been given time off).

It'll rightfully go to Mark Chapman, who is a very solid understudy and great on 5live (Along with Steve Crossman fwiw), but I'd love it to go to Colin Murray, he's another great presenter. I also think I speak for everyone when I say, thank fuck its not going to be Jenas.
-
In my lifetime, I've not known Match of the Day without him presenting, he's easily the best Sports presenter in the country, and to me is the gold standard in the industry. It's going to be sad when he leaves, and very weird without him there every Saturday.

According to Phil Mcnulty in the BBC Q&A thing they do with him every week, he doesn't think Lopetegui will be getting sacked this international break.

Hadn't quite realized how heavily weighted our fixtures where towards the top of the league. I've said it before but our fixtures this season are really nicely spread out, with us having played Man City, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool at home before a third of the season is up, means we have a really nice run of home games in the second half of the year, meaning we can attack most games.
-
For those that are that we are inclined, the full match replay is available on the club site.
-
Only Papiss Cisse (eight) and Callum Wilson (seven) have scored more Premier League goals as a substitute for Newcastle United than Harvey Barnes (six).
-
Nope, his ban got extended to 5 games.
-
I didn't get that either, Carragher kept saying that they kept picking us off on the break, and that we where lucky not to be further behind, and that we couldn't sustain attacks. Yet bar that free kick Pope barely had a save to make, and we where doing all the running, it was just our final ball letting us down.
-
If the BBC Sport website is anything to go by, we're going to be dead last on MOTD
-
Tottenham have lost their last 5 matches prior to an International break. I wonder if their players mentally check out before flying out.
-
Howe mentioned that the players that aren't on international duty are heading to Saudi for a training camp next week.
-
I'm looking forward to this shit heep of a game being ahead of ours on Match of the Day.
-
Don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but Isak's finish was needlessly quality
-
I may be slightly misremembering the stats, but I think that is: 14 games, 11 wins, 3 draws, 0 losses When Willock, Bruno, Longstaff and Joelinton have all started together in the Premier League.
