Yeah I thought his movement against Liverpool was generally good but the two home draws he seemed a little static and easy for the CHs to mark him out the game.
  2. Probably ordered them from Castore and they turned up like that ?
  3. I think the problem the NUST does has which has been mentioned and I personally hadn’t took much note of who is who in it is that there is a lot of TF links it seems to the NUST (not sure numbers or %) and the lines get blurred clearly.
  4. Well I’m friends with Emil Franchi and from the very little discussions I’ve had with him reference away tickets they definitely have a pool of them at TF but sounded like they were just their own and amongst themselves they pick and choose who use them for away games. No mention of NUST priority tickets (Greg had his own with points until recently then restarted from zero when he managed to get one this summer regardless of being in the NUST). So not disputing 100% what you believe is true however I don’t think it is.
  5. Your response was to the post regardless if you quoted it or not anyway going round in circles as usual with you ? Ive never spoken to him in my life and have passed him in a street before a game the only time I’ve even seen him ? And before you ask I’m not involved in the NUST (I paid £10 lifetime membership to help re-boot them as V2.0) or attended anything to do with TF and have never even bought or read TF ? I got into Podcasts for first time ever during lockdown and TF’s is one of four (free versions) NUFC ones I listen to so I’ve an idea what he looks and sounds like. Not sure why you’d think I was his mate. Was merely correcting you that he was never planning on stepping down from TF so to say he’s “back front and centre” doesn’t add up if he never left. The NUST thing he was going to jack it in but because others beat him to it (Heron (my friend) and someone else I recall after not long joining) he stood in and iirc Greg delayed leaving but isn’t standing for re-election is how I heard it (from Greg also my friend). You’ve a strange obsession with him ? People who know me would tell you I’m not a big fan of his but I don’t hate on him as I don’t know him at all. The fact I’ve not met him in person is probably the only thing that stops me making my mind up fully about him. Which I think is quite healthy TBH ?‍♂️ Anyway I’ll leave you to continue your crusade against him ?
  6. Out of interest what do you/everyone make of Kevin Miles? I only ask as he’s just been on the radio. Always think he’s created a fantastic niche job for himself. I wonder if that could be others motivations long term ?‍♂️
  7. Yes but your response was regarding him being at an awards ceremony for TF which like I said I don’t recall him ever saying he’ll step back from. So being front of centre for that is/was always going to be the case. He’d never stepped back from it so your response was misleading. Think you need to unwind a little. He’s clearly a trigger for you ?
  8. Can’t recall the thread but for those discussing PSG and owner interest beyond this World Cup…
  9. Latest email… Dear Member, Ahead of Newcastle United’s successful cup tie with Crystal Palace your Trust Board was invited by Newcastle United to a United As One fan engagement event. Ahead of the club announcing its formal fan engagement process (which will be in line with the recently introduced Premier League Fan Engagement Standard) the Trust was part of an informal introduction to members of Newcastle United’s Senior Management Team including CEO Darren Eales. Feedback was sought from club staff on key areas involving supporter engagement, and The Trust was pleased to be involved in delivering your feedback on various subjects ranging from matchday experience, equality, diversity and inclusion, and the clubs ticketing policy. Having received significant levels of communication from our members in relation to the clubs Ticketing policy The Trust felt it was particularly important that it stressed to those in attendance our members majority view that the club loyalty points system was the fairest way of allocating tickets, but added that many members were concerned that the system is too easily exploited to pass tickets on to those without season tickets or membership. We look forward to developing the conversation on this, and the other subjects discussed at the event with the club and our members in future. It is important to note that this was an introductory session for many in attendance, including the senior leadership team, during which the club sought feedback from the Trust and other fan groups, and there was a clear willingness on the part of the club to listen to, and learn from supporter's experiences. The event was a tremendously positive start to fan engagement, and the event was well received and well attended by a variety of groups and fans. Trust Board members being introduced to key personnel at the club such as Darren Eales and Peter Silverstone is a hugely positive step that will support the development of the already strong relationship the club has with the Trust following a meeting with club shareholders Amanda Staveley and Merhrdad Ghodoussi in April this year. The future looks very bright for the club and supporters on and off the pitch. It's essential that club and supporters continue to work as one and the Trust Board are delighted that the club are working toward an engagement process that will bring us together. 1892 Pledge Scheme Thank You Event Tonight The Trust hosts a sold out event at the Stand Comedy Club in Newcastle to say 'thank you' to our members who raised £200,000 for good causes through the 1892 Pledge Scheme. Doors open at 18.30 and we will be starting at 7pm prompt! if you would like to email a question to be considered for George Caulkin, Alan Shearer and Steve Harper please send to [email protected] before 6PM tonight(15.11.22). If you are coming to the event please bring cash with you as we have a raffle with some great prizes but can only accept cash on the night to enter the raffle. All of the money raised in the raffle will be split between our four Pledge Scheme charities. Student Request My name is Henry Skilling and I am a final year student at Durham University, studying BA Geography. I am currently researching for my dissertation, provisionally titled: A study on the impact of Newcastle United Football Club’s (NUFC) foreign takeover on place-based identity among local supporters. This research seeks to understand the ways in which the recent foreign takeover has impacted fan’s feelings towards Newcastle United and if it has changed their perception of any associated places. The rationale for this research is to contribute to knowledges about how investment in football clubs can maximise both fan and community outcomes. Henry can be contacted at [email protected]
  10. Also for clarity only Alex only ever intended on stepping back from NUST not TF as I recall. The post I made was in reference to TF being up for some possible awards (They didn’t win any) So this response and additional ones are misinformed. The TF podcast is ok. Nothing special but there’s not many if any NUFC podcasts that are.
  11. I don’t. Feel free to scan all my posts regarding Maddison. He’s a very good player and will do well in a certain system, probably at Leicester in their 4-1-4-1. I just think along with Shelvey that type of player is not for our system anymore and our interest and focus may of changed as after the rumoured bid we’ve signed Isak and Miggy is now rediscovered the form he showed under Rafa with Perez and Rondon and at Atlanta. Looking forward to seeing him up against as like I’ve said he does usually play well against us but coincidentally we’ve always been in poor form also. Boxing Day should be a cracker as Leicester have turned it around having patience in Rodger’s rewarded and maybe the break has done us a little favour oddly despite our own great form.
  12. I think it’s safe to assume in general we will if we’ve went from bottom of the table to third top within 12 months based on the mantra Intensity Is Our Identity ?
  13. Would he be replacing any of these two though? That’s the argument. He’d be replacing Miggy or less likely Willock slots. He’s not as fast or able to press like they do and we already have Isack and ASM waiting in the wings for those two slots. So if he’s replacing 1 of Bruno Longstaff or Joelinton I think he creates more issues than solves as you’d think it be Longstaff and he’s not in that ilk.
  14. To me Kovacic is the type of midfielder we need. Great technique and mixture of attributes. Obviously I doubt he’d be available but a player of that ilk as he could interchange positions with Bruno and Joelinton. Basically an upgrade on Longstaff. Maddison I’d imagine would have to play in the front three which like I’ve said doesn’t suite our high end press. Play him in the middle three and I think you’d compromise Bruno and create more problems than you solve.
  15. He’s scored a few with left foot but wasn’t really the point I was making. More his playing and passing style. Look forward to seeing him up against us this season as he usually does well against us.
  16. Never see him press effectively. Not particularly pacy. Plays at his own tempo and another player very strong on one foot and very weak on the other. I think he’d stick out like Shelvey does now and if he’s meant to be fitted into our front three you’ve got to be able to press hard and fast. What (admittedly little) I’ve seen of Pedro is good pace, comfortable using both feet so could cover across the frontline. Physically strong so would offer more aerially and great footwork and balance. Don’t get me wrong Maddison is a very good player but all round Pedro looks a lovely footballer.

    Didn’t know he’s hardly played much football…
  18. I’d probably take Pedro over Maddison. Think he’d be a better fit.
  19. At a fan media awards event tonight…
  20. Basically confirming what I’d read previously…

Ive a friend who lives in SV and it’s controlled by SC. Think it crosses into Gateshead at Galloping Green Road which is basically Eighton Banks. As for Birtley it’s all Gateshead and the cut off point is the roundabout at Barley Mow.
