And yet when EH was talking about Bruno this week he openly admitted the goals he’s added to his game have been an unexpected bonus which you wouldn’t really say if scouted as a AM. He’s clearly been bought as our DM which I don’t see in him against the top teams.

I’ve definitely had a reprisal of Maddison’s character but I still have concerns about his lack of athleticism if he’s going to be part of the same midfield as Bruno. Either way it’s going to be fascinating to see how EH evolves this squad over the next 18 month. Feel like we are a budget Liverpool in our style. If intensity is indeed our identity then not sure how Maddison slots into the squad. Today highlighted again we probably have a greater need for a DM so we can free up Bruno.

Well most of them have been during transfer windows so not really a smart move to tell clubs how long certain players are out for when trying to buy cover etc. Anyway it could be just a red herring. Hopefully on the bench as expected.

Looks like at the moment £120kpw is the ceiling and this will gradually increase as the squad improves and players under contract prove their worth over a decent period of time.

Very underrated player. Suffered from being so versatile. Ended up as a full back but could play anywhere. CB CM Wings and wide forward. I think he was probably the clubs second best GK at some point also.

Bit late but did anyone notice Brighton v Spurs on Saturday that Spurs were playing in a dark blue strip almost identical to our away strip that for some reason wasn’t allowed ?
