  1. I agree with all that except last paragraph. Think the buying club will need to make Miggy to blink not ourselves. Get the feeling he’s very settled or at very least not fancying life in Saudi. Definitely more the club pushing that transfer not him.
  2. Albert Luque (Hollywood)… if only it could be found ?

  5. Not just you. It’s the modern way that players performances are described in extremes. Baffling that so many people struggle to be nuanced.

Did not realise that. That could be open to abuse.

Nah. He’ll be welcomed on the pitch Saturday to a hero’s reception then has a stinker and the fickle fans will hound him out.

It was either a Tweet or if I recall a very short post on here a few days ago saying we are hawking Almiron around every Saudi agent. Probably the most succinct take of what is going on here. Bit of problem that Atlanta have a 20-25% sell on fee for those expecting a windfall.
  9. The answer is the same as it was a while back. Any misuse of the AWAY ticket there is high jeopardy. Points lost and or your ST. If sold to a member and they were found selling on they would lose a membership that they could easily buy again. Also as you’ve seen with the home games members are touting the tickets because of little punishment. Some members aren’t even NUFC fans and just treating it as a business. Chances of ST holders doing the same is minute in comparison. If theres AWAY tickets left when it gets to ZERO points then I don’t see the problem members having the same opportunity as ST holders at that late stage to give some opportunity but maybe those put in the ID Check pile automatically to avoid abuse and not give a sniff that they can be transferred. As for ST holders being able to transfer to other ST/members it’s got to be limited to around 2 per season. To prove my earlier point look at what’s happened with home tickets now that ST holders don’t have opportunity to buy an extra ticket. None genuine memberships have been bought in bulk to purchase any tickets won and resold at sky high prices. Whereas before you’d usually ask a mate who had a ST to see if they could get you one. Never guaranteed of getting one but a decent chance which would lead to a genuine fan helping another genuine fan at face value prices. All you have now is the Wild West… Ridiculous prices, away fans in home ends, seats left unused. Same would happen to AWAY tickets. The loss of points or ST does reduce the abuse and is still the best imperfect system. You’ve seen the effect of games dropping to 0,1 points and even the bigger games falling to around 25. 2 tickets per season for illness allows fair wriggle room but anyone advocating zero ID checks and unlimited transfers are those wanting to unfairly control away tickets with points they hold.

  11. So you questioned my credibility at me for saying he was reportedly your second highest paid player before HK left and turns out he’s… the 3rd and now the 2nd! And you laughed at me saying he’s pulling in around £200kpw give or take a few Kpw and shock horror you think he’s on £170kpw. So again similar ball park to what I suggested and again strengthening my point that we could not afford JM with all the other business we wanted to do in the summer but we could HB due to the fee being around £5-7m cheaper and wages over the 5yrs on top making the price overall around £23-25m (£18m+£5-7m) more ??‍♂️ Also just had the briefest of glances and at the time of JM signing Son was on his old contract so therefore going off your own logic JM would’ve been the 2nd highest paid player at your club behind HK as I suggested…
  12. I don’t have a problem believing he preferred the move to yourselves over us as I was one of the very few in the summer who advocated he would join Spurs despite us able to offer him CL football if you are seriously questioning my credibility? As for his place on your wage structure it was reported only HK was above him and looking at your squad profile it wouldn’t surprise me if that was the case particularly when the fee paid was probably £20-25m less than what he could’ve went for under different circumstances at Leicester. Who do you think your top 5 earners are and approx what do you think they earn pw when the team is winning?
  13. We weren’t because we couldn’t without breaking the wage structure. You’s could and did hence why he signed for your lot. My point being when looking at the cost of players it’s not just the fee to be mindful of it’s the contract cost and knock on effect in dressing room with other players. He’s your highest paid player now that Kane has left and on a substantial amount more than what Barnes is on here.

The helicopter was the friendly against Liverpool not Brighton was it not?
  15. £23-5m difference if my maths right. 5yrs x£200kpw Vs 5yrs x£100kpw. Give or take a few KPW.

I’d definitely say Wraith’s channel probably more for you as aimed at the older fanbase. Despite his faults he puts a lot of effort into giving some variety with all his shows. They aren’t without some nonsense but probably 3 Amigos the best pick for you or Supetmac & Gibbo. I personally like the Ben Jacobs one. Would give it a second chance perhaps as was a little different to usual due to Wraith being in a fettle all week it seemed on his shows. Normally he just poses questions and Jacobs does virtually all the talking which to me is preferable ?

    Depends. How old are you?
  18. Always maintain this guy would’ve won us the league as a better fit but we ended up missing out and getting Tino instead. Still not sure i would’ve changed anything mind ? https://x.com/80s90sfootball/status/1748965441060421748?s=46&t=DDNXUN2PoOBhgKmoF77zNw
  19. Not world class but I rember seeing a very young and relatively unknown Paul Merson play for Arsenal in a indoor Soccer 6 tournament live on TV and thought he looked brilliant. Shame he didn’t have any off field discipline as he had a great footballing brain and physically very good. Also remember watching Marcelino play for us against Alnwick Town thinking I could’ve run rings round him bad finger or not ?
  20. Yep. Keep getting told this is a poor/average Liverpool team. Not sure what these people are watching. Maybe not the most exciting version but highly efficient with plenty of goals in them alongside the best all round GK and CH in the league. Great combination.

    Kieran Trippier

It’s the club policy so wouldn’t worry. Obviously the deal has to be right for the club but hierarchy have made it clear they don’t want anyone here who doesn’t want to be here.
  22. In fairness it is two things EH looks for in a player. Not saying it’s his ultimate aim/priority but he does want a physically dominating team.
  23. In his defence you are always going to struggle to attract certain players to Bournemouth and less so others. I could be wrong but I do think the dressing room camaraderie plays as just a big a part as the ability of a player. Probably thinks it’s easier to improve a good player than integrate a very good prick for want of a better word. The fact Botman and Tonali were both his no.1 choices each summer shows he’s open to the European market.
