  1. Glad you're back dude.
  2. No.8 shirt this season by the looks of it.
  3. The leagues and TV companies, who claim to have "the best interest of match going away fans at heart", have had our two trips to Brighton on a Tuesday night and 4:30 on a Sunday. Was planning on ticking Brighton off the list finally this season but that is a pisser of a time even when making a weekend of it. Surely 5:30 Saturday should be enforced for that kind of distance if they insist they want to show it. Problem with that is that BT have got the 5:30 slot. And there's some kind of pecking order on who gets first dibs for what slot. So if Sky want a fixture it's essentially either Sunday/Monday or 12:30 or a Sat (which is arguably even worse when you're doing a trek like Brighton). 1:30 Sunday would be better than 4pm Sunday.

  5. He's proper slow apparently Reminds me a little of Woodgate in those respects. Not quick and he doesn't look "beefy" but strong, attributes that made Woodgate the defender he was as he made up for his lacks in ways that made him excellent........when he played. Here's hoping similar with this bloke. Woodgate not quick? Not really. You never saw him eat up ground to get back at someone, to be honest he never seemed to need to, just read things so well. I disagree but kind of see what point your trying to make. I just remember him up against Drogba for Marseille and that tackle against Chelsea thinking he was quicker than I thought before we bought him.

  7. Will that cover Brighton away? I'm guessing so. August/September Thanks

  9. Wasn't that during the first season with English clubs in the Intertoto cup? As far as I recall, Spurs really didn't want to bother, so ended up loaning loads of Wimbledon youth team players and free agents just to put out any kind of team. Yep. Stephen Carr played also
  10. For what little I saw of him he was probably our best player against Everton yet was bizarrely subbed. Then against Man Utd for ST Etienne he seemed to play almost as a 10 and seemed to cause them a few problems with a lively performance on the counter attack in the first game. If it was a choice between him and Colback I'd take a chance with this lad simply on the basis we know what we are getting with Colback and it isn't good enough.
  11. Spurs worst European defeat was 8-0 away to Cologne. Just found out this clown was playing centre midfield for them. "No more goals" springs to mind
  12. I doubt he'd manage a moonwalk. What with one his legs being shorter than the other
  13. Not to go full media paranoid like but that Graeme Bailey seems to have a weird vendetta against us Constant digs at us Was just going to post the same thing. I've noticed his sniping for several months now.
  14. So players now have to appeal to make them think about using VAR
  15. Is that Draxler or Thauvin?
  16. Loans shouldn't be allowed IMO. There should be a maximum playing staff figure for each club that encompasses all age levels. How are young players supposed to improve without playing competitive games? They'd be forced to be playing for other teams spread across all the divisions rather than the Top 4 incubator we have now. But what about if they come through the academy at a big club and that club doesn't want to let them go? Their career could be ruined by not playing. I think having an age restriction on loans would be better than just banning them altogether Play them or sell them. If you want to keep say 4 promising youngsters you can. You just can't buy 4 expensive imports. You have to manage the squad properly. Not buy 60+ players and have them all out on loan.

  19. Buy back clauses shouldn't be allowed. End of story.

Exploiting additional revenue streams and getting these events at SJP and not the SoL can only be a good thing. If it's organised anything like the Kings of Leon concert a few years, we won't be getting any back anytime soon. Was an absolute shambles compared to concerts at the SoL. What happened at KOL? Who did you go to see at the SOL?

    Florian Thauvin

This, 100% no-one knows what went on behind the scenes of course but i can't say how you could say we handled the lad anything other than poorly by any stretch of the imagination was surprised rafa binned him straight off mind, perhaps his head had just gone by then Correct. Rafa wanted him to stay. Player wanted to leave. Actually never wanted to come. Eye catching full debut in Cup and promising cameo against Man Utd and gritty performance against Arsenal. Then fell off a cliff both in terms of performance and attitude coinciding with his girlfriend getting homesick. Club did well not to loose too much money on the deal all things considered. Some transfers work out some don't. End of story.
  22. I would say it's because football if not sport was deemed somewhere you could go and forget about the cares of the world for 90mins of your life rather than the modern day culture of being constantly reminded of them before and during each game. Your viewpoint will generally differ depending on what generation your from.
