Hunger. Desire. Doesn’t hide. Comfort on the ball. Good technique. Eye for a pass. 10 assists last season. Got a goal threat in him. 5 goals last season. One of the few players that came to SJP last season and stood out for me. Seem to recall him and Gordon playing well together in the U21 finals. As for the financials will be in our wage reach but fee obviously not as good value as getting him from Wolves which is my only doubt as the versatility he offers is what EH looks for.

Only seen him a handful of times this season and never been impressed with him. Not sure what I’m missing unless I’ve just seen the wrong games?

I think that was because we were lead to believe a young Bastian Schweinsteiger was replacing him until it turned out MA had stictched up KK. Remember JM looking good in a new role KK played him in. His best game turning out to be his last iirc (Coventry in the cup?).

4 keepers is the latest trend apparently and makes a lot of sense with training drills. Wayne Rooney was going on about it in a podcast when England called up a 4th GK for the Euros for training only. Guessing we are going down that route.

I read somewhere the Premier League held up two of our sponsorship deals and currently still scrutinising them which then left us short for the deadline causing the last minute panic. Again something else working against us. Not that I’m casting aspersions…

This was my main pick out. A lot assuming it’s for last years PSR but the fact it’s being done in July and the line is ambiguous would also suggest it’s to aid the next batch of spending which I’m leaning towards.

Good for us that we can put this to bed. Like everyone the details would be interesting but main thing is we move forward. Will be interesting if we bother to appoint anyone in his place before season starts or at all and go down a slightly different route.
