Unless your taking the piss, are you watching the same Jonas as me? When Jonas loses the ball he usualy makes it his personal mission to track back 60 yards back down the field to get it back, he's actualy a realy good tackler aswell from the side. Thats why I like him to be honest.

Is Routlege any better striker of the ball than Jonas like? In my opinion Jonas should be a starter, and Routlege an impact sub if we need a goal. For all Jonas' faults he's up and down the field all game, where as Routlege does absolutely f*** all in terms of tracking back and getting a tackle in. Havn't seen anything from Routlege to suggest he's a better crosser either, especialy as for the past year+ Jonas has been pretty much forced to cross with his weaker foot, or come onto his right (slowing down play and allowing the defenders to sort themselves out). Jonas' weighted through balls are actualy sublime aswell.

For the Stoke game i'd be slightly worried about Ethrington once Perch get's his customary yellow card, other than that though they havn't got much going forward bar set pieces. Jones realy isn't the goal-scoring machine Stoke fans seem to believe they've signed, Pennant is a doubt (and would be in Jose's pocket anyway) and the rest of there midfield options are woefull. I'm not getting ahead of myself because anything can happen in football, but we realy should get 3 points here.

Would much rather see Jonas on the right with Barfa on the left, with them switching wings now and then during our 'attacking periods of play'. We might actualy see him put in a decent ball from the byline and I think Perch/Simpson/Raylor need his help on the defensive side of things more than Enrique. I actualy think him an Raylor could form a decent partnership, Raylor for me is probably our best crosser of the ball and Jonas would certainly give him more oppotunities to get the ball into the box.

I don't think Shearers any worse than the rest of them. Claiming Ben Arfa was an unknown was pretty much inexcusable though, especialy considering he's probably HIS clubs biggest signing in quite some time

I still think his' dart to the byline was sheer class, the speed in which he gets there before he pulled the ball across the 6 box was unreal. Hopefully they'll work over this more in training and in the future someone will be on the end of one of them, because this looks like it's probably a trait of his.
