  1. Yeah that was Paul Merson. And he based this on the fact that we we're beaten by Blackpool at home 1 week and then won away the next, so logicaly, using his own punditry skills he came up with the idea that Newcastle will be better away from home this season
  2. "The leader of the OM are sterile dick head" Best thing i've heard all week
  3. I realy need to get with the game me like
  4. All that proves is that Tiote spent pretty much the entire match within the middle 3rd of the field, where as Nolan spread himself out a bit more. If anything it suggests the exact opposite of what your trying to imply.
  5. I would go more along the lines of "He gets credit when he plays well, and criticised when he doesn't, or when the team plays s****. Funnily enough."
  6. Aye, i'm not ashamed to say i've watched this goal an inordinate ammount of times
  7. Apparantly theres nothign broken or torn, I don;t see how thats physicaly possible in all honesty
  8. If it's the Ayew i'm thinking of (Ghana at the World Cup?) then he looked a qulaity young player, skillfull winger type. Doubt Marseilles would be too keen on us taking another of there young wingers from them though.
  9. Coloccini was pretty solid in his first season for about the first half of the season from my memory, he than made a few Bramble-esque howlers (when everyone at the club was effectivly playing like they'd never met before) and he was suddenly given the 'Colo the Clown' moniker. It's actualy quite annoying when people who havn't even seen him play (but just read a few things in the papers) still to this day would claim he was a massivly expensive flop, even though there probably isn't many better 'technical' defenders in the league right now.
  10. Sounds like that FM10 Backroom advice screen
  11. Orient were a match for us last pre-season... In terms of quality out reserve side definatly has more of it than Norwich, hence how there best player last season was Forster. Nowrich as a team may be better than our reserves, they have had a lot of play time together guided by a decent manager, but in terms of player quality, no. Ranger Guthrie Raylor/Simpson Xisco Forster Saylor/Campbell Best To be honest it's not even a contest.
  12. quality Could replace the first verse to include "African" in some way though in place of "midfield man". And also just for the sake of needlessly knitpicking it would go more like. Tio Tio Tiote, Tiote, Tiote Tio Tio Tiote, Tio Tiote.
  13. [quote author=TaylorJ http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/premier-league/7958790/Jonathan-Liew-Move-over-Gary-Lineker-lets-give-George-W-Bush-a-go-on-Match-of-the-Day.html
  14. The fact is that if we lose and either or both of Smith & Nolan are on the pitch then they will pretty much be blamed for everything that wen't wrong. I don't even think Nolan has put a foot wrong this season to be honest, he had a concussion against Man U and everyone was s*** in the first half against Blackpool. Villa, Wolves and Everton though I thought he played realy well.
  15. You not thinking of Abdoulaye Faye? If so, yeah he was a tool for the way he ran to our Bench and fans. Whoops, yeah mate Abdoulaye I mean there. Had his finger to his mout telling them to shut up as well. I didn't understand it at all.
  16. Loved Given when he was here, he dented his rep for me when he left (for the money) but it still never took away from the fantastic performances he gave in a Newcastle shirt, legen in my eyes. Glad we won't be recalling him back though, as has been noted it seems desperate and is a step in the wrong direction in the long run.
  17. For the record I was taking the piss But seeing as Amdy Faye has been brought into the mix, I don't think i've felt much more hate for a footballer in my life than his goal celebration against us when he made it 2-2 a couple years back. Was competely unnecesary.
  18. Bit of a pointless article realy, admitedly he's a pretty shit pundit (as 90% of them are) but calling him an over-paid child and taking the piss out of the blokes hairstyle is not realy needed (especialy when the reporter is sporting an awful barnet himself with a rediculasly camp pair of spectacles).
  19. I thought Faye was a cut above during his spell with us to be honest.
  20. :colo: Is Colo lauging at Best? Doesn;t look a good sign to be honest...
  21. 50 pages is actualy quite small when you consider Benny Arfa's thread is near 400 in a shorter time frame. We mearly use them as a form of humour, they obsess over us and our failings as a way of making themselves feel bigger and better about themselves.
  22. To be honest I doubt half the team can understand Kevin Nolan
