  1. He looks ridiculous. The stats completely back up the compilation porn too.
  2. It's not healthy for a man to be kept on the vinegars this long.
  3. £15m for any player is probably a no brainer tbh if they think they'll improve us. Not seen a lot of Burn but from what I've read he seems decent, and futs the mould of what Howe needs perfectly. Can play LB too.
  4. Aye. He's the kind of player I watch football for, I love him tbh. I just think realistically, unless he improves a lot, he's not going to be a superstar. At the minute he's one of them "he wouldn't be at Newcastle if he did X and Y" but if things go to plan we'll be beyond all of that after the Summer transfer window
  5. Yeah but you quoted me and missed off the reason why ASM's stats aren't really great. "ASM is great to watch but his stats aren't the greatest given the downsides of his game." He's upped his rate this season and will hopefully hit double digits in goals. 1 in 7 though isn't really something we can carry going forwards unless he improves other aspects of his game, he'll just be replaced.
  6. The way ASM plays we'd be wanting near Mahrez numbers from him soon like.
  7. "Botman wants to join only AC Milan that’s why he rejected a rich contract from Newcastle." I mean I'm pretty sure this never happened did it?
  8. Eh? ASM is frustrating because he plays himself into danger not because he doesn't score/create enough. It's a good record for a traditional winger like Robert.
  9. Aye Robert easily at the minute. ASM is great to watch but his stats aren't the greatest given the downsides of his game. Hopefully with the likes of Trippier and Bruno he'll be able to go up a gear though. @HaydnNUFCmade a great point about him pinning fullbacks back though which is a pretty hard thing to quantify in numbers.
  10. "Potter’s shape-shifter Potter regularly switches from one shape to another during the course of a match. Unsurprisingly, he likes players who are versatile and Burn has proven to be excellent value in that regard. In fact Burn's flexibility is the primary reason why Potter can mix up formations so frequently. Whether shifting infield to make up a back three or pushing on in a wing-back role, Burn can seamlessly make transitions to suit match situations." Been wanting this for a while from us, and was a reason for having Dummett in the squad although Burn probably completely replaces him. Don't think Howe has any interest but being able to seemlessly transition from a back 3 to a 4 is pretty handy.
  11. https://www.premierleague.com/news/1651367 Actually proper want him.
  12. That lad was probably sent back out at gunpoint to take those photos like.
  13. His stats are absolutely insane like, given that he seems also to be good visually I'm amazed we've gotten him for as cheap as it seems. Surely there has to be some catch?
  14. Impressed by that writeup like, that sanjay always this good?
  15. I think you're thinking too much into it. He'd take up the RCM position when we're out of possession but would be playing as an attacking midfielder.
  16. Well aye Willock played there against Leeds. We've been playing with 2 banks of 3 in front of the back 4. As long as he gets involved and doesn't shirk his defensive responsibilities there's no real reason he won't work. Him and Alli sat infront of Henderson for England and were fibe
  17. I'd prefer Alli to Lingard though.
  18. I mean it's not the stuff dreams are made of but it's a lot better than the beginning of the window. Looks defensively solid, there's pace and goals in the side.
  19. Nketiah probably fills the void of a striker that can play out wide which we need imo. Cheap backup to Wilson with utility seems a smart move tbh. Like Dan Burn it's not flashy but it improves our squad a lot without breaking the bank. We do still need a legitimate, proven CAM though.
  20. Seems to lack goals though. Sounds like he would be ridiculous if he finds some form infront of goal like, he seems to have the technical ability for it.
  21. In that James Allcott video he showed some stats and he was in the top 2 percent of players in Europe for both progessive passes and carries. Around about top 5 percent for shot actions created, expected assists, attempted passes and tackles.
  22. Another 4 (potentially 3 depending on how we feel about Manquillo). We're currently bidding for 3 apparently.
  23. We still need atleast 1 dedicated CB. A LB would be great although Manquillo made a case for it against Leeds. Then at least 2 players who can cover the wings, CAM, and ST. Willock looked better but I still don't really trust him. Fraser has been decent due to his work rate but he isn't really a winger anymore. So if we get Burn, Bakker and Lingard we're looking almost good imo, bring in a striker who can help out in midfield and/or on the wings and the quality and balance of the side looks acceptable, which seemed a long way off a week ago.
  24. Be foaming if we don't get him like, he looks absolutely incredible. Just need someone in there with him and Big Jo who can score goals.
