For some reason I thought we were talking about heads and vols Nit sure I ever played foot volleyball
-
Iirc there was 2 versions like, one where it could hit the ground and one where it couldn’t. In he former sometimes half volleys would even be allowed for added lethality.

The goal was to set people up to rattle in absolute thunderbastards

I’ll feel nowt either (atleast it feels like that right now, after a win it might be different in reality), since Rafa has been in charge this is the most ambivalent I’ve felt about the club. -

The way I see it is Rafa is leaving at the end of the season anyway unless he gets money, so the difference is less than a year in anycase. Him leaving now though just leaves us with another year of awful performances and a fairly likely relegation of which we’re not a cert to come back from. As it happens we have a manager in charge who has united the fanbase for the first time in god knows how long (and has probably prevented people just packing it all in), who brings media attention to Ashley (the like of Sky have focused on Ashley more than ever from what I’ve seen) and who could possibly stabilise us until the end of the season while maintaining the pressure on Ashley. I know you don’t think there’s any pressure like but he’s in the news (both sport and otherwise) all the time now, part of that is down to Rafa calling him out. -

Ashley won’t be forgotten about unless he spends money. I cannot see how Rafa going and us getting relegated helps us here? The likes of Ashley Out and the Magpie Group are clearly putting preassure on him and his reputation in general is damaged right now across the country. -

Catterick is class, proper League of Gentleman vibe (obviously Shearsmith is in it too)
-
he has the best dry delivery of any comedian like.

FWIW I don’t think it really works in clip form either like, even being a fan of Bob The songs and daft stories are pretty rubbish and nonsensical but they’re meant to be as the whole point of the podcast is him and the Get in the Sea guy just talking shite. I don’t think they’re written to go viral.
-
I think a lot of it is knowing Bob Mortimer just doesn’t take himself seriously at all. There’s just something about him. If pretty much anyone else did a podcast like that it wouldn’t work. I mean if I just loaded a random youtube clip up and someone else was putting daft voices on pretending to be Peter Beardsley I’d think it was absolutely shite

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xqQS5lKusn0 This is legitimately catchy as fuck.

I think you have to listen to full episodes really like, and preferably have been brought up with Vic and Bob and not hating them The Specific Beef episode was class.
-
What exactly is he expecting to happen in that situation?

What a revolting start to the season this fixture list has been -
I think most people would be a little bit easier on referees if they actually came out and gave their point of view after games like - explaining why they made key decisions they way they did and admitting where they've made mistakes and the reasons why. It's not like it's punishing them or anything, we know they're human and we know they'll make mistakes. Obviously people will still rage like, and some decisions will still be 'unforgivable', but it would potentially let fans understand the referees role more instead of being slightly anonymous daft cunts who fuck us up every week.

I'd like to formally invite the Secretary of State, Rt Hon Jeremy Wright, to our Lush Lasses section: https://www.newcastle-online.org/forum/index.php?topic=98633.0 -
The laughing is just weird like - it makes no sense in the context of what Custis is saying at all Was there something said before the clip that led to it?

The 'problem' with female commentators is that it's jarring - if they're bad too it just proper stands out. Most male commentators are absolutely shite like but we're used to it.

I still don’t have any idea how this shit works like

Hayden's bairn would dust kaka.

Well aye, but you're doing one thing and then arguing another. Ie you're being a cunt saying things like... ...and then pretending you're being hounded on for saying he should do his job. He might be acting a cunt, we don't know the full details. What we do know is that we shouldn't be in a position where he's filling in at right back.
