  1. Quite annoyed with how neither the commentator nor the pundits on MOTD made a single remark about how good that chest flick was, they just carried on as though he's scored a simple tap in
  2. Cannot stand his weird sentimental nonesense.
  3. I don't think anyone said anything to the contrary, did they? It's just that his stats would inevitably dip as he's not surrounded with the 'tailored' team that clearly plays a big part in his game. I never said that. I'm just reinforcing the point.
  4. Aye but it's basically criticising Messi for being a more complete player who can score, create, dribble and control the tempo of a game rather than just being a penalty box player I don't think so like. Some attributes are just more 'universal' for want of a better word. The obvious example is a goal poacher who can look great in almost any side. Messi would probably challenge for the top scorer title in any Premiership side though playing anywhere across the front line.
  5. Think what he means is the type of player Messi is he is on another level when he is alongside players who sing from the same same hymsheet as him (trying out my inner Motson, hope it goes well). Where as you can stick a classic straight down the line goalscorer in any side and they'll score goals. You'll obviously stick Messi in any side and he'll score too like, so I'm not sure how strong the argument is
  6. Inochi was canny imo. Just obviously proper internet aggressive for some reason
  7. It's the fancied debate of paedophiles.
  8. He can have the back when he's a good boy.
  9. It's all irrelevant anyway. The ones who don't like him will still bang the "It's only the championship" drum and the ones that like him will still bang the "better than Joselu" drum and neither camp will ever change their mind.
  10. Indubitably. And he would likely have done the same for Fulham if he had signed, but then he is back to the Premier where he is average (based on this season) and will most likely be moved on, which presents the problem of finding a replacement and getting the to settle. As things have turned out, if they get promoted and sign Mitrovic on a permanent deal, they have a promising youngster already ready to go. They’d be better off just signing another striker though.
  11. Gayle was like a goal every 85 minutes or so before his injuries, whatever Mitro gets it’ll be a long way off that.
  12. Gayle is an absolut beast in the Championship like Think it a bit of a stretch for Mitrovic to do the same, he (Gayle) would have comfortably broken the Championship record if he stayed fit.
  13. We were mainly scoring from set pieces which teams cottoned onto, Lascelles won 2 games in a row iirc. Scored 1 since then I think. Ritchie had like 4 or 5 assists.
  14. someone pull up KI's post about strangling him and watching the life drain from his face EDIT: Was about some poor random lass on facebook, must have been re-used about Pardew.
  15. I think the worst thing I ever said about Pardew was that if I had a time machine I'd go back to when he was a child and shoot his mam in front of him.
  16. I once told a Pardew fan I'd murder him  pretty sure we all said things we're not proud of back then, it was absolute anarchy.
  17. The Great Pardew Civil War of N-O Good times
  18. Taking the post in isolation it’s bang on like, we were fucking terrible. Defensively ok for the most part but utter shite on the ball.
  19. Aye, sang about stealing stereos as well. Embarrassing. It makes even less sense when you consider the north east has the highest unemployment rate in the country. it’s fucking backwards
  20. Pretty much. It's annoying how shite we are but we already know we're shite. Away to Liverpool we really need them to have an off day to do much of note. They did, I reckon. And because of us up until 1-0. It just goes to show the difference that quality players in a team not playing well makes because Salah and Mané were pretty anonymous aside from when it mattered. Defensively they gave us nothing like, they were sloppy at times in the 2nd half I thought but they were pretty comfortable all game. In comparison Man Utd pretty much let Shelvey and Diame dominate the midfield when it mattered, that wouldn't happen every game, but we actually looked really good all over the pitch despite not having much of the ball. Thought today was a lot like the first Man City game, only without the resurgence and chance of a comeback as they grabbed the 2nd.
