  1. It's a coping mechanism, thankfully they're going down this year and they'll possibly never return so I can finally be rid of their hilariously shite patter. Used to think they were better off in the same league for the derby but they're simply not mature enough as a fanbase for there to be any enjoyment there. Granted this is mainly based on RTG but that website is an abomination.
  2. Aye Brighton were poor, they're a far better team than they showed. If it's an important tie it's hard to look past Benitez though. It's what he does.

  4. Well, he has. At the level of he's now playing in the PL and before he wasn't. Obviously if we had stayed up this wouldn't apply. He was picked for the squad when he was with us and narrowly missed out on the Euros. He'd have been picked again whether he was at Palace or not, nothing to suggest otherwise. England managers overlooking the Championship happens but Townsend was hardly a 'Championship player', he'd have been down here at most a year and is known by just about everyone in the country. It's not like Lewis Dunk or Tammy Abraham who'll be completely ignored until they get into the Premiership.
  5. Townsend hasn't been selected again because he's at Palace instead of us. He'll lose his place if Pardew keeps working his magic though, something which was obvious before he went. Shelvey was miles away from the England squad last year.
  6. More whoever is fittest I think, that's what it sounded like anyway, he seems to trust most of our squad to come in seamlessly on a matchday. I think his 'rotation' just comes more from him being more cautious than most when it comes to pulling a player struggling a little physically out of the side. Like you say, not so much him shuffling in an attempt to keep everyone happy and/or shake things up.
  7. Rafa explained the rotation thing on the radio a while back. Any player can get into the team and him and his backroom staff assess a lot of things in the background to decide who plays. The players don't even know the teamsheet until matchday. He's not just saying "right you have this week and you can have the week after". Colback will get in the team because leading up to matchday he's probably looked fitter than Hayden, same with Yedlin & Anita, Diame & Perez etc.
  8. Aye you're right, got their game mixed up with Bristol for some reason I still think in a crunch tie we've got the advantage though, home or away.
  9. I think a 9s fair, it is Newcastle after all. Think Brighton will push us all the way for the title though fuck knows how that will go but we obviously have the advantage of playing them at home.
  10. Looked like he was about 50 He did when he played for Bolton too tbh
  11. What's the game been like? Looking at B365 stats Birmingham look on top?
  12. Think they're nailed on for top 6 now and I wouldn't be surprised if they finish above Norwich. They still have to play them twice.
  13. The Mitrocentre. Should re-open Metroland as... drumroll... Mitroland. The swings hoy you off once they've hit full speed.
  14. Cannot remember the last time I spoke in person to an opposition fan and they weren't humble tbh, forums are a different animal though. I think every football forum is full of biased cunts. Probably us too aye sunce getting rid Alan, John & Steve. Still, them saying they'd rather have Ben Pearson over Jonjo Shelvey is a bit like us saying we'd rather have Isaac Hayden over Kevin de Bruyne.
  15. Honestly though, as much as they can twist on about the penalty it would have been a disgrace if it was given. Yedlin was brought off because of some bellend throwing a coin off him, replaced by Hanley who obviously wasn't prepared and then barged Beckford down a minute later. Karma 'n that.
  16. Aye, it's hard to see exactly what happens but there's no way Beckford falls there without much contact. It's a goal if he stays up.

  18. They were wanking themselves silly over Kone an all. would walk into the mags marra
  19. I love the way he's always running up to players when we score grinning like that smug dog. Despite the random haircuts he's also quite the handsome guy.

  21. Aye, he got Brum into the playoffs but joined Norwich when they were already in the Prem.
  22. Hughton's showing himself to be one of the best lower league managers out there like. A lot got made of us easily bouncing straight back up but I think he's showing now that we got very lucky with him being in charge.
