I cannot remember the exact details it's based on but it's always been assumed he did from what I can remember. On here at least.

It'll be Lallana.

Disco's been on the jenever.

it's a good point. They've stayed up by 3 points or less 4 times in the past 5 seasons 5 points the other time. Their quick fixes have been nothing but luck/Pardew.
-
I still think he's the best chance they have of stabilising as a decent, maybe even good Premiership side. Their squad is vile and they're never going to get a Benitez. Must be absolutely gutting for the poor cunts.
-
Are you being wilfully thick? Yes, the Ronaldo school of jumping to personal insults immediately when someone makes an opposing comment. You've just lost all credibility. Because you're talking absolute shite and had completely ignored everything I'd said. Like I'd suggested anything close to that in bold man. I cannot be arsed.
-
Cannot be arsed anyway, pretty clear difference between criticising a player playing poorly and the over the top vitriol spewed at certain players at certain times. I know for a fact it happens and it'll be pretty much impossible to convince me otherwise.

Some of what you've said about the (at the time) 21 year old Mitrovic during and after his first season in English football: Wind yer neck in.
-
He looked sharper than he has since Man Utd (?). On and off the ball. I'm sure he had a few good moments running with the ball as well as a not too embarrassing turn of pace during that game too.
-
Aye we've seen it loads of times, it's hard to turn your opinion of a player around. I'm guilty of it probably more than anyone
-
Honestly though if I'm being honest, there's nowt even wrong with it. Just about everyone is like that arent they? I'm only bringing Ian up because he actually admits to it Obviously he doesn't really want the world to end, or for there to even be any real, tangible negative effects of leaving Europe, but he doesn't want to see the smug reaction of the leave side knowing they were right. And obviously 'craves' the satisfaction of seeing them realise that they're wrong. That's what I mean with people desperate for Mitrovic to fail. It's more of a desperation to have their opinions vindicated, and the opposing argument to look foolish.
-
Err, it happened though. You cannot put so much vitriolic effort into slagging a player off and be fine with being proven wrong like. It's not how humans work. I'm not saying you did, but I'm assuming you've slagged him off in the past giving your touchy reaction. But your comment didn't touch a nerve with me personally - just that I found it ridiculous that some fans would resort to accusing fellows fans of such thing. Aye because UncleBingo doesn't come into the thread all the time calling him a lumbering idiot, we need to get rid, should have signed Austin instead etc. That other lad who's been obsessed with calling him 'Misstrovic' ever since he arrived obviously secretly wants him to do well too. Neesy who 'hates his personality' and said he was shite after the Norwich game must also be keen for him to make it here? In fairness to Neesy like he's a canny reactionary lad after/during the game Still though there's been a lot of pretty clear hatred for him probably since his red against Arsenal. I absolutely wanted Colback to fail when he arrived as I'd already made my bed (I actually kind of like the lad now). Ian wants the country to burn to the ground just to prove he didn't pick the wrong side on the referendum. People do need their opinions vindicated like, it is human nature. This doesn't mean that if you've slagged him off in the past that you want him to fail, I just know for a fact some people did and a few probably still do.

Imagine if it was your job to write about football and you wrote that?

I never said he did. Everyone's pulling in the same direction and I cannot think of a player who doesn't look on board at the minute. Mitrovic has always had people on his back though and he's never looked like he's going to half arse it, last season or now. EDIT: basically even last season, when we clearly couldn't be arsed, he never hid or shirked his responsibility. He wasn't ready but he still battled away to the best he could up top.

They've just beaten 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the table like, 2 away from home I cannot really blame them for being optimistic. Our 2nd string is hilariously good where as there's probably isn't, they gave us far too much respect playing 5 at the back and letting us have the ball too, that might have worked early in the season but not now. We're obviously better than this league, but I hope (and don't expect) the players to go there and expect to win. They'll embarrass us if we do. -

Reading a bit of their forum they seem pretty impressed with their team spirit on the whole like, and are expecting them to come at us full on. They've had some really good results recently and there'll not be many harder games than going away there with the form they're in. We should win, but I think it'll be a hard game. No chance of them lying down after last night. -
Even if he doesn't make it here, the last year and a half have been a total embarrassment from some like. It's not often you get a player who clearly genuinely cares like he does yet some are desperate for him to fail. I'm not even sure why he's barely put a foot wrong other than Spurs.
-
I thought they'd have packed that in after the Russian cage fighters embarrassed them.

The drugs seem to be wearing off now. -
Yeah but we have scored a lot more overall, meaning we are not as reliant on Gayle for Goals as those teams are for said players. We're sort of having to fill in the blanks for Mark to come to this conclusion though Mole
