If he's banned for 8 games then surely there's grounds to legally set David Bernstein on fire?

They'd definitely hammer us though, 5-0 it would be; a Poulsen hatrick.

It might make sense if viewed professionally from an actual marketing perspective and not just some ments kid on a football forum.

I don't think it's ever really been about age with Ben Arfa as the talent and the brain has always been there, it's just his maturity which he seems to have sorted out (hopefully anyway). The injury was obviously a set back but like our relegation it may have been a blessing in disguise, he seems to be coming up to his best along with the rest of our squad. It's mental how exited everyone is for each game nowadays, I actually like football again.

Yeah, I don't know why I'm continuing the discussion but it's certainly worthy of a thread. I get the idea though, the NWOAT title sounds harsh on a lot of subjects. Get well soon. -
It's actually ridiculous how spot on you've called everything

The Ben Arfa comp video is good like as theres a lot of footage out there, and I apreciate the effort the guy puts in to making and updating it, but the quality is awful, as is the music, also too many clips repeat for some reason (if I want to watch the Bolton goal again I can just click the video back, it doesn't need to be added again at the end of the video ). We need a 10 minute long 1080p comp with some kinky 80s beats ripping onto Redtube.

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll
Hanshithispantz replied to Pilko's topic in Football
Fletcher who scored more goals than Carroll, for the team that finished rock bottom. Fletcher who has never performed to a level that Carroll has proven he can perform at. I thought Carroll was over-rated when he was with us, I even said so at the time, but there's no way Fletcher can put in the same dominant performances Carroll did when was here. -
Fucking hell man, i'm hoping this is some sort of Aussie in-joke.

God I hope they don't get him mind, not that I'm worried about him improving them much because they're distinctly average in pretty much every other department, I just cannot handle the inevitable 100 page thread about how Magic Marty charmed Andy to Wearside and how we're all ready with a noose. I suppose it'll make for comical reading in a few months time like.

He should be a very good replacement for Kone, anyway. Wish him well. I have no idea in which form Martins is nowadays, but if he's retained that pace he would work beautifully with Levante's press and counter style. Tbh Martins' pace is pretty useless on the counter as he just doesn't know how to use it, he'll hinder more counter attacks than he'll help and he'll squander more 1 on 1s than he'll convert. Set him on his left foot within about 60 yards of goal though and you're laughing.

We've replaced Guthrie with Anita & Amalfitano, we have Ben Arfa full fit for hopefully a full season, we have Taylor back who only played about a dozen games (hopefull he gets a full season this year), the same with Marv who will hopefully be able to actually play this year, we start this season with Cisse who has effectively replaced Best from the start of last season, our kids in reserve are a year older and a tad more experienced (Vuckic, Tav, Gosling, Abeid, Sammy ect), the same with Santon for the first team who looks a hell of a lot better than he did a year ago and has replaced Taylor at LB, you could probably even say Krul is improving all the time. It's not just signings, our squad has massively improved imo, even if the personnel hasn't.

Chelsea? Agree, though you'd hope so after ploughing £70m in. Arsenal? Unless their new strikers start to click, and Song gets replaced, they haven't (though the £10m profit may ease the boards concerns). Tottenham? Losing King, Dawson, Corluka, Kranjcar, and presumably Modric, with only Gilfi and Vertongan as new faces? Nah. Everton? Well, they still have £5m profit, so thats nice. But only one new decent new face in - Mirallas, and one out. Strengthened more than us? Debatable. Liverpool? £30m down, and we're now running scared? Are we fuck. Fulham? Nah. Anyone else? Nah. Chelsea should finish ahead of us really, I think it'll be us, Tottenham and Everton competing for 6th though, although I wouldn't be surprised if we had an even better season than last year, no reason why we couldn't (Chelsea have improved but so have we).
-
I imagine that for £5m plenty of clubs would be beating down the door for him if it wasn't for the wages like, I doubt there's a club in the league who hasn't signed a know cunt. He'll get 15+ goals even with his attitude problems and he links up play well.
-
The £80K would be a massive turn off for most clubs I'd imagine, even if the £5m transfer fee is an absolute steal. I don't know if I've skimmed over it, but how ling is the contract for, 2 year?
-
It has suffered a bit in recent seasons like as they seem to have one every week I enjoyed the league games though, probably just because of my man crush on Pep and Mourinho, now with the former gone I'll have to wait and see how I take to this new Barca dude.
-
Adebayor is a class signing, no doubt about that. They still need another in though.
-
What's so odd, I would want neither at the club so would prefer the one that we would be paying less too for a far shorter period of time. Actually thinking about it you're right, fucking mental that. It isn't the kind of signing that's going to push a club on. Not that it's totally shambolic by any means, just completely uninspired, like most of QPR's signings in the past year.
