Because he was in charge of a faltering Fulham side who sold all of their best players, nothing to do with 'knowing the league'. They also bought the best striker in the division. What a shite performance once again. The first half was one of the worst I've ever seen as a Newcastle fan (and that takes some beating/matching). Ritchie changed the game when he came on at half time but you have to ask why he didn't start the game. I know he was a doubt and had a late fitness test but if he was fit enough to be on the bench, he should have been fit enough to start the game. We've signed a lot of players this summer and it's obvious they are going to take a bit of time to gel. I just hope that's all it is, a matter of the team gelling. We look very very slow when trying to pass the ball between ourselves.
