  1. He's already contradicted himself this season talking about champions league then the "48" points mark I'm sure I saw a quote recently from July about needing another striker and now he's got no room for a new striker in the squad taken from this month. You just know if we're struggling to get goals in October it'll be "yeah we're a little bit short.......we'll look at that in January" downgraded from all the stuff recently about all the additions and his new attacking options
  2. They (the board) have probably decided that they have enough for their aim of mid table finish. They'll hope Rivière weighs in with enough goals, that they get lucky with "Chucky" getting a few and the likes of Gouffran, De Jong, Cabella etc grab the rest. If they wanted to push for 6th, 7th they'd need to spend proper money on a striker which they won't because they're not interested.
  3. Can definitely see him going before the end of to he transfer window
  4. Same here. I hate seeing us lose, but anything is better than having this cock in charge it's a horrible way to feel huh? you really don't want the likes of cabella or janmaat and so on to start in a negative atmosphere and it'd be great if they were class from the off but this prick has to go or he'll drain any quality out of them in no time anyway I feel the same. This cunt has been hanging on for too long, it'll give me a strange degree of satisfaction to see him really in the shit. I'll take short term issues if it was to help force him out.
  5. They still need a recognised, proven striker. Rivière isn't that striker
  6. This c*** deserves absolutely everything that comes his way in the end, the worst kind of yes man/patsy you'll ever see. It's so bad it's comical ffs Bobby Robson will be turning in his grave with the way the club is run thesedays.
  7. Not speaking to the press? Is this because of the new "contract" with The Sun, dear oh dear, haha
  8. Isn't our net spend something like 3m given the transfers out of Cabaye and Debuchy Yep "Mike" is certainly committed to the cause isn't. Coining it in with the tv money.

    Papiss Cissé

Yes I think the combination of playing him on the wing and as a "target" man in a hoof ball system pretty much finished off whatever confidence he had. I'm not saying Cisse is entirely blameless but the Cisse when he arrived and playing confidently to more recent times is like night/day. It goes back to Pardews complete lack of ability to coach players. He'll give the championship type players confidence but anyone with any real quality he can't coach or get the best out of either in 1 to 1 coaching or in the playing system as a whole. That's pretty much been proved with all our signings.

    Papiss Cissé

I agree. The player probably had the most absurd purple patch you'll ever see but our style of play and Pardews complete lack of coaching ability pretty much put paid to any long term success.
  11. I detested Allardyce and Souness was full of shit but Pardew has gone beyond them for me now. Just desperately want the day to come when he fucks off. Which, you could argue is short sighted given the remoteness of anyone decent coming in after him. I'd take a shit start to the season to really see him in the mire and maybe finally bring about his removal.
  12. The way I see it if he was to go to another prem team and do well as depressing as it would be it would be constantly sticking the knife into Pardew. It would show him up for the failure he is.
  13. As usual he'll be banking on one of or a couple of the new signings to bail him out. If Cabella or De Jong does well and scores a couple of worldies then that'll help paper over some of the cracks. The core of defence is still weak as p*ss though and as yet we don't have a defined, reliable striker up front. Those two points seriously could work against him. I think he'll get away with it at the beginning of the season when the sun is out and people are less likely to kick up a fuss. But given he's just so fundamentally lacking in any managerial ability the team will gradually begin to struggle when the s*** weather arrives, the injuries start to come and we're being served up the same s*** week in week out. As Ian says above though I just don't think Ashley really gives two f***s where we finish in the league so it'll have to be really bad for him to act and even then it's hard to see. If there's still people in the stands and we're sitting in mid table then absolutely nowt will happen.
  14. I don't think it matters who they sign, they've got our number under Pardew because he's completely incapable of setting the players up for the derby (or most matches really). Poyet knows he's got the beating of him.
  15. His quotes are something to marvel at.......Even my Dad who doesn't really follow football that closely said the other day "Pardew's an idiot" I was almost dumbfounded when a lady in my local who is a season ticket holder when asked about the new season said really confidently "look at the new players who've been brought in, they look really good". Didn't even mention the cretin in charge when discussing the new season until I brought it up. I can't fathom that some fans still can't see how ludicrously bad this bloke is.
  16. Rodwell probably needed a move like this as he just hasnt feature at all in the last two years. He's a great box to box midfielder from memory and a terrific finisher. But.....the lad just seems to be one of those players who is ridiculously injury prone. If they can keep him fit it's a very good signing but it's a lot of money shelled out if he spends most of or a lot of the time on the bench.
  17. You can't polish a turd and no doubt we'll have a complete U-turn with the usual excuses pumped out by October. Injuries, lack of experience, small squad, can't compete with other clubs etc.... All this blood and thunder about pushing for a champs league place will be forgotten once the nights get shorter, the sun goes away, the injuries mount up and and the same age old tactical f*** ups are being made with the usual awful style of play. His only get out clause is if the new signings manage to paper over the crack as has been seen before. Let's be honest though if things start to turn sour which they very well could given the lack of sympathy the fans have towards him then surely even Ashley (who will have the view that he's spent heavily even if we don't) will lose patience if we're turning out the usual dour performances and languishing in the bottom half.
  18. We'll be strong in midfield but we're still weak at the back and very light up front.
  19. Champions league qualification He certainly likes setting himself up to look even more like a mug doesn't he, dear oh dear. Who is honestly going to buy that claim ffs
  20. comical stuff. "Leading by example" hahaha
  21. This will probably be our final recruitment in the striking department. Just can't see the club out laying proper money for an established striker.
  22. The "blessing" of a few defeats will mean this fucker really starting to squirm
  23. I think they may bring another striker in but it'll be another "deal", loan signing, unproven prospect type player rather than outlying cash for proven quality.
