  1. It’ll be interesting to see what Howe does with the lineup in the coming fixtures in terms of getting Isak and or Saint involved more to carve teams open. Huge opportunity with other teams around us inevitably dropping points as they play each other.
  2. I guess the point I’m making is brining another quality midfielder in would take us up another level. Someone with Tielemans ability even if he hasn’t been bang on recently. I think Bruno, Joelinton, Willock in midfield with ASM or Isak left wing forward is our best line up fwiw. That was basically our lineup v City.
  3. Same team again I’d imagine with Saint and Isak to change things up. Don’t see Howe changing it unless there’s a niggle here or there or he feels he can attack Fulham better with either Isak or Saint left wing forward. Rare excursion up into the gods for this looking forward to it.
  4. A player like Tielemans would slot in perfectly into our midfield. Would take us up another level.

    Dan Burn

His attacking heading is atrocious ? Thankfully he’s quality in most other areas.
  6. Looks like he’s lacking some zip still after recent illness bur hold up play at times awesome.
  7. Righto mate ? Move on ffs, enjoy the fact we’ve won tonight eh son, semi final and all that ?
  8. His movement and passing is outrageous like, just amazing to watch at times.
  9. Great seat in the Gallowgate, really enjoyed that. Up the toon! Roll on Fulham where I’m up in the gods for once.
  10. haha yeah that was just near me (not reachable) where did that come from? ?
  11. Ok mate knock yourself out. It’s all about opinions ?
  12. He’ll be very useful against 10 men behind the ball because he can pull something out of his arse in the box and away from home on the counter with his pace.
  13. I had one of those characters next to me in the Palace home match in the league. Botman was shite, Isak a waste of money, life apparently is shit. Called everyone shit every time they lost the ball, full of rage. Stay at home Ffs
  14. Bloke is an absolute monster
  15. Yeah it’s not like we’re playing 442 is it ffs. A front 3 can be fluid as Liverpool show. Wilson is obviously the most obvious number 9 we have, Isak plays slightly differently.
  16. I think you’re getting your nickers in a twist a bit too much about this and massively exaggerating other points to make your point. Isak’s best position is as probably a number 9, he’s said that himself. However he can play across the front 3 and it’s not black and white that either Isak or Wilson will play. There will be some games where both play because it’ll suit our attacking play. Either way let’s just let Howe decide and pick the team eh ?
  17. Whatever Howe decides to do I’ll be happy with and if that means on occasion Isak playing wide with Wilson through the middle then fine ?
  18. If ASM has nil fitness issues I hope he starts with Wilson and Miggy given Leicester’s defence. Isak from the bench. Move Joelinton back into midfield. I wonder though if may do what he did in the cup match and start Isak and give him another 45-60 mins in a 3 with Wilson and try and win the tie in the first half. It’s good we’ve got options either way.
  19. Jan transfer window always kicks off in last 10 days. There’s s lot of posturing, watching and waiting before moves are made.
  20. I think we’ll have too much for them at home particularly with their injuries and our crowd. Hardly going to be a walkover but with ASM probably available and Isak an option too we’re looking pretty solid on top of the usual defensive stability and Bruno’s influence.
  21. I wonder whether we might see it against Fulham. Isak will get some minutes tomorrow night and then they’ll have the rest of the week to train. His pace, trickery and goal threat will cause teams all sorts of problems particularly if you’ve got Miggy the other side. Nightmare to defend against
  22. Yeah it’ll be interesting to see how Howe (ha) utilises his attacking options now he has a full deck of cards so to speak. I think there’ll be a tendency to go more attacking at home in due course.
  23. Yeah I think they’ll definitively have him on a strength and conditioning plan. He’s not going to play the same as Wilson (certainly not straight away as lacks the strength) and his play as a 9 is probably suited more to playing on the counter and playing on the shoulder of defenders with quick balls in like his first goal v Liverpool. I think they’ll utilise his footwork with the ball to open teams up at home one side of Wilson.
