He’s still settling in and getting used to new players. His first touch can be very frustrating and his delivery can be a bit hit and miss but with coaching I think he’ll come good. It’s still early days. Hes definitely more suited to away games and Europe currently playing on the counter but I think the coaching will address his role for home games helping to break teams down.

He’ll continue to improve as he gets used to the premier league and the fitness required. I imagine they’ll also have him on a strength programme which will make a big difference too. He looks like he’s already getting in the box more and after dropping passes off turning and belting for the box. Howe and Jones will really hone his skills. What I also like is after all the cloak and daggers toys out of the pram Isak nonsense this lad has come in and is a breath of fresh. Seems like a really nice lad and a warm character and really enjoys playing here. Isak always seemed like a bit of a cold fish.

Yeah a real shame but sadly common sight footballers and particularly when players have already been out for a long period. Hopefully he’s not out too long because he’s integral to us playing really well.
-
Yes he seems a very likeable character doesn’t he.

Much better second half, well played lads. It feels like we’re making the best of things currently in terms of no Wissa, Ramsay, Livramento out and Hall clearly struggling with a hamstring. Get them back and we’ll be looking far more dynamic. Important thing is we have a solid foundation at the back. Today was just about getting the 3 points and some R and R in the break.

Yes I’m far from writing him off but there’s a lot of work to do. My guess is Howe probably knew he was a work in progress type player.

I did wonder when we signed that while he’d be great on the counter attack how he’d do when trying to break teams down at home, not great on this evidence.

He’s fast but his touch is terrible at times

No point risking anytime before the international break -
Is that right? Wasn’t there an incident where Trippier tried to get him to go over to the fans v Leeds but he couldn’t be arsed?

Agree on Barnes and yes always feel there’s a possibility Gordon could go. I think there’ll potentially be changes at gk position, the midfield could evolve again so there’s a chance Joelinton gets moved on. I’m not saying I want him to go but feel we might look for more quality in the ball. I still think we’re vulnerable to offers for Tonali with our wage structure limitations (not that I think he’d force a move like Isak)

Yes really have to win today -
I don’t see him being here beyond this season but then I imagine there might be a fair few changes again next summer.
-
He has too much quality not to eventually start knocking them in. The issue Liverpool have is their attack has undergone a massive change with Diaz going, Isak and Ekitike arriving. Salah also plays very differently to what has benefitted Isak before. Pressure will build tho given his price tag. Hopefully he continues to struggle though 😂

The interesting thing is it seems like Thiaw is “probably” going to cement his place in the starting line up and Botman looks to be getting back to his best. It’ll be interesting to see what Howe does with Burn when Hall is back to full fitness or maybe he’ll be fighting out with Botman for a start

Definitely like the idea of an attacking midfielder coming in next
-
Brings other players into play so well, his touch, hold up and link up play is excellent. I think he’ll play really well with Wissa and with Ramsey bombing on

Swelling can sometimes impact clarity and therefore full diagnosis. Also what’s the issue waiting until they know for certain before releasing details? I mean we’ll know in due course anyway.

Complete bonkers wasn’t it. We definitely have an issue seeing games out, needs sorting

Brilliant goal keeping but moment of madness with that mental kick towards the end
