Newcastle United vs. Arsenal: 02/11/24 @ 12:30 (TNT Sports)

Anything to derail their title bid is good enough for me. Arteta is a wanker. -
Sure, who’s actually going to take him in January though? Nobody is going to give him a contract, he never plays
-
Yeah we won’t have the money to replace him in Jan as well go for a RW unless he’s moved on (highly unlikely) so we’ll probably keep hold of him until the end of the season and hope we can get some use out of him.

Arsenal are an excellent team but they’re 5 points behind City and 4 points behind Pool so they can’t afford to drop more points really (particularly as City go to Bournemouth and Pool have a Brighton at home). There will be pressure on them and they won’t be looking forward to the fixture. It’s definitely going to be niggly lol -
The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Frank in at Tottenham

I think that’s true to an extent and Ratcliffe has a whiff of Ashley about him in terms of pissing loads of people off. Ashworth and Barrera will slowly start to have an effect I think though and Ten Hag was clearly never up to it ability wise. Amorim appears to be a talented manager but they’re going to have to start getting their recruitment right. -
Surely Mitchel must have come contacts for players on the continent in the 30m range. Other clubs do it, we’ve done it before. Mbuemo would be a great signing in one sense but he’d cost an absolute fortune in January ffs I can’t believe that things are so tight again that if we buy anyone in Jan we “have” to sell in the summer. Are things that bad? Mind clearling Wilson out and the rest of the deadwood is desperately needed.
-
I’ve always thought Bruno might benefit from a pacey 6 so he can focus more on influencing play further upfield and is less likely to have his lack of pace exposed.
-
Agreed and I’ll add that’s not my opinion entirely. The complete lack of anything on the right to create space for him and others knackers us.
-
I think there’ll be a summer reboot and im alright with that to be honest.
-
City fan in my local thinks he’s been found out a bit in part because of his lack of speed.
-
It does feel like the side and Howe has all gone a bit stale doesn’t it. We’re absolutely woeful away from home and I’m really not quite sure what we’re trying to do this season. Surely we could utilise Kelly’s pace at CB, I mean Burn didn’t look fully fit and it’s frustrating that we seems so reluctant to use Osula at all. It’s these type of decisions that might be his eventual undoing. I still think overall I’d be inclined to give him January or at least let Mitchel bring some fresh impetus in plus getting Botman back then see what Howe can do second half of the season. Theres been a load of other stuff happen which I think has effected the team which isn’t down to him. I also don’t think the club will sack him yet anyway unless things get really bad. If he loses against Forest and West Ham he’s in big trouble I think (assuming we go out of the cup and lose to Arsenal).
-
Yeah that hasn’t worked
-
I would have more concerns if we’d had decent windows the last few windows which we haven’t and this summer we a disaster.
-
We’re all over the place this half
-
Should save that. Properly shot ourselves in the foot there.
-
This is going one way in current evidence, routine 3-0 loss

Same here -
Real had it handed to them 😂
-
Hopefully Mitchel has a few targets from the continent lined up for this Jan (and moving forwards)

Their keeper is dodgy as fuck and they concede goals but they’re a better side than us currently. Our top players will have to turn up to get something. A win isn’t out of the question but I’m thinking 2-1 or 3-1 loss. -
He’s on 150k per week. He could in theory get a contract way way above that and play in the champions league. I’m not saying he’d throw a hissy fit but if we’re not in Europe next season he won’t be here.
-
Paywall, what’s Edward’s essentially saying?
-
It would not surprise me at all if he agitates for a move or seriously considers it next summer if we don’t get Europe, I don’t think that’s controversial 🤷♂️
