There’s a mini car park at the start of Lozells Road which is a 20 min walk away from Villa Park. Not a great area by any means, but I’ve left my car there many a time. Caribbean take away there called Bings which is by far the best in the U.K. The owner is 79 and still cooking.

He’s been a great servant. Always gives 100% and we have to remember the mental impact injuries have probably taken on him too. I’m not sure there will be many takers for him given his injury record which is such a shame. I’d love for him to stay if he could prove his ability still, but unfortunately it doesn’t look that way. If he decides to retire, would be all for keeping him on in some sort of role.

How has nobody mentioned Michael "exciting" Owen?

I don’t even think I’m going too far when I say he is one of the best CB’s we’ve ever had.. (especially in my lifetime). More so in his Howe years obviously, but he’s been top drawer. Some beautiful goals too.
