What's the point in having two strikers who are heavily reliant on service when we don't create anything? Get me a Carroll or/and Bellamy type pls. What's the point in having a striker who scores goals you mean? Just because we have one that can already do so doesn't mean we wouldn't like to have another on our books. We need at least two strikers/forwards for starters.

He's 27 now and i don't see any huge improvement from when he was under 21 captain. I always rated Taylor ahead of Dawson but at least Dawson has went on and improved his game along with his fair share of injuries just like Taylor. Would take Dawson everytime now.

Nothing materializes because he's an overrated defender that gets leaped with praise from our fans because he plays with passion and pride. When in reality and your looking from the outside, he's a clown of a centre back who still makes rookie mistakes and will never be any better than the standard he's currently at, which is average at best. I really like Welbeck for all the reasons you say, for some reason it's trendy to criticise him. IMO he's quality. I'm not sure I’ve changed my opinion more on a player so early in a career. I'm just never sure what to expect anymore. I originally thought he would fall short this season thinking he wasn't good enough but then in big games this year he has shown a lot of ability and quality at times. So i think yeah he's looking like a player but then you'll watch him the following week against a poor premier league side and he won't really contribute anything really noteworthy other tidy play in a decent side. Seems like he steps up his game for the big boys but then can't set games alight against the lesser opposition.

I think spain are worth taking on at 7/4. Still haven't decided who I’m going to side with yet though. Very tight competition. Looking forward to it actually.

A video was put on youtube some weeks back of him pissing about in a Ferrari or something on the roads in Spain while drinking a can of Mahou. He's an idiot. Also saw an interview with Jelavic the other day, where he was saying Moyes gave Drenthe a lot of chances and he ended up going too far (rumour at the time was he turned up late and hungover/still p*ssed for the coach to the FA Cup semi with Liverpool). Always liked Drenthe. Had a quality Euro under 21 tourney a good few year back, looked a huge prospect and was exciting to watch. Think i might like him even more after those stories since he doesn't play for us.

The improvement in that department of his game the last 6 month was huge. Pardew deserves credit for his endless long ball tactic helping Cisse improve this part of his game.

Cisse scored the same amount of goals as Ba did in Germany...Cisse just scored them in around 30 less games. I think Cisse can be a far more deadly striker than Ba can be but this is just my opinion. Thought we worked well with Ba out wide but things went tits up when Ba demanded to play centrally start of this season, albeit he scored the goals but we didn't look anywhere near as effective as when he was out wide. Shafting Cisse out there did nothing but hinder us.
