  1. Tbf to Davids, he's been kicked al owa, about time he got some payback!
  2. This was actually me as well. Even looked the part when he appeared on screen. Loved his attempted scissor kick.
  3. Yep, that was my thought process when going for my first outright bet, 11/4 Brazil, 7/1 Spain, just couldn't bring myself to take the 11/4. They weren't sparkling in the confeds but it would have gave them a good taste of what to expect and be better prepared for it. Still think Brazil are worthy faves but shouldn't be that big of price dif between the two.
  4. Who's that with? 8/11 for Argie/Bosnia dual forecast with Hills. 10/11 with Skybet. Booooo, haven't got an account with them. Well I have but they want ID proof sent in and I just cba with sorting it out.

  6. Messi was vomiting all over the pitch yesterday and Brazil didn't impress against Serbia. Maybe that's the reason? But Brazil still won and Messi still scored
  7. Over the past month or so just been placing some of my winnings on world cup bets. Just racked it up and I've got 140 on Messi top scorer, 110 on Spain, 30 on Spain/Costa, 20 on Cesar golden glove winner and 10 on Spain/Brazil final. Not too shabby, didn't even realise it was that much. I've been saying Brazil to piss it but couldn't take them at 11/4 when Spain were 7/1, looking how much I've actually built up wish I just went with Brazil

    Papiss Cissé

I thought prior to his injury Cisse was looking a lot sharper and had the team itself been in better form and creating chances, he would have been scoring. His movement, his work rate, his touch all seemed to be rejuvenated but the team itself was way below standard and not getting enough service. Previously when the team had been in decent form and Cisse was being giving a chance here and there, he was all out of sorts, I don't think that was the case end of this season when he came back in the side.
  9. Forster? Not signed under Ashley but failed to develop him. Think Forster would be a harsh one, we just had to choose between him or Krul basically. Both were at a promising standard.
  10. I stated one of the best in the league, which I think he is. Only one i'd personally swap is Coleman. Not immune from criticism but I believe your criticism to be harsh on him, think he's improved drastically, weaknesses pointed were glaring last season, not so much this season imo. Wasn't aware Williamson did win that in The Mag. Don't agree with it, think Williamson did improve and became a lot more steady but nowhere near the improvement of Debuchy. Debuchy looked merely a slight upgrade on Simpson last season, looking back at it now, it's embarrassing he was mentioned in the same breath.
  11. That doesn't sound like one of the best RBs in the league (which he is). I had my doubts over him during the summer, even after City first game of the season, however I couldn't have dreamt of the progress he's made since then, outstanding. Is 'best right back in the league' the new 'international player' on here as a faux claim to greatness? There's a total lack of great RBs about at the moment. The best one barely even plays there. Even decent ones like Zabaleta aren't up too much when you look at the full back greats. Nobody mentioned 'greatness'. He's just improved and adapted into a top right back in the PL and baffles me why yourself or others are looking to have a pop at him and point out any weaknesses he may have when he was one of the best players in our side during the season and comfortably the most improved. Even if the RB standard isn't all up to that much, it's still good to have one of the strongest in the league in that particular position. Love the bloke and hope he's here to stay for years to come although this seems highly unlikely.

  14. Bale and Ronaldo. No benzema either, which I've been crying out for. Watch them lose to nil now
  15. Bale starting One goal, all we ask...isn't that right, Neil?
  16. Useless but they still love him? Ron only loved Shearer for the 'majority' of his time here. Actually, it's a pretty commonly held view, particularly on here, that Shearer during his last two seasons massively held the side back. He is a club legend and all that stuff is great, but him being a nailed on starter did kill us for large parts of those two years. In his final season he was basically a knackared, spent force who played every week and occasionally knocked in a penalty. Missed the point I think unless many people felt different ways. I loved Shearer, even though I felt he should be replaced by Kluivert at the time and him and Bellamy should have been the partnership. Although Shearer continued to start, I grew frustrated at this but that didn't waver the love I had for him or turn into anything nasty. Similar to the way I thought Bobby's time was up, I wanted him gone but still loved the bloke but just felt time for a change. There's no 'majority' in terms of love for Bobby and Shearer in my eyes, loved them start to finish, I just had different views on when they should or someone else should have called it a day for them.
  17. I'm disappointed Totti won't be at the World Cup but think it's the right decision. Was hoping he might claw himself into a call up but wasn't to be.
  18. I like when Kaiz wins just for his gifs in the betting thread, I feel like I win too
