  1. Expectation is probably the lowest it's ever been going into a tournament. Obviously the media will still write the inevitable headlines how s**** we were but don't think anyone will say i told you that ‘X kid’ was a s*** player over a few games in Brazil in a tough group. Learning curve for a fair few of them. If you say so. We write players off because they get outclassed in friendlies. We write young players at NUFC based on sub appearances. I'm telling you now. Not surprised with comments like 'He'll get found out in the summer', you're part of the 'We' It's his first major tournament at this level on the back of his first standout season in a good side, he's going there with nothing to lose. We don't expect him to standout in Brazil or provide a real threat. He'll give it his all and if that falls short of the required level, he'll take that experience back to Liverpool and try to keep improving his game and come back again in the Euros.

  3. Disagree. He's perfect for this L'pool system. I doubt he could play so well under Hodgson or for England. He'll get found out in the summer imo Find what out? Not like there's loads of expectation to play well on his shoulders. He's had an excellent season and now in with a shout of getting a start for his country and rightly so. If he doesn't play well, he'll go back to Liverpool with more experience and try to learn from it.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

So basically he'll save Pardew this season, then be on the bench after 4 games next season

    Hatem Ben Arfa

He probably realised after Stoke, his best friend right now should be Ben Arfa and only Ben Arfa, regardless if 'senior players' think otherwise. The fans made it perfectly clear at Stoke who they have sided with. Although Pardew/fans were unfortunate that he came on and got clattered within seconds and hobbled around for 20 minutes.
  6. Rattled. This lot can't take their precious Premier League is a load of shit and there's more entertainment to be had elsewhere, even if it's two teams with low points. People on here might cry if they see some of the football some of the lower league teams in La Liga play compared to Newcastle
  7. Not even sure what your point was though. I basically said you can't look at teams in another league or a match and deem it shit because they haven't got many points on the board? What has that got to do with us in anyway shape or form? Seems like you've read a couple of posts and just decided to be a cunt basically?
  8. ^^^ And the Spanish league is one Ronny likes. Clearly not too much if he's judging sides by their number of points on the board. Nobody said they were high quality teams. Was just a match I expected to deliver entertainment in and it did just that. You've spent five months defending Pardew off the back of points on the board you bloody hypocrite. Words fail me. Aye words fail me too...
  9. I just can't support other teams in hope a situation might happen. It's not like he's been told he's this game or a run of games to save his job, or the pressure is really on. Just seems like people are now wanting Newcastle to lose every week just to get Pardew out. It’s just something i'm not willing to do, i'll be there on Saturday supporting the players to get 3 points, and i'll not be the only one. Doesn't mean sing Pardew songs or throw any waves, just get behind the team to beat Man Utd.
  10. Well you keep cheering the other sides we face each week, Ron. Enjoy.
  11. That because that formation has served them up so well so we should emulate it? 3 at back hasn't worked for many sides in the PL tbf. Rodgers tried it a few times this season, like. Haven't seen it for a while so not sure it worked for him either.
  12. Like i said previously, he's missing out on millions of pounds in potential player sales. Fair enough he's got the odd couple of big ones, that looks clearly his plan but it could be working so much better under the right manager. It does seem like he's just content with how things are going though and showing no ambition to change things anytime soon.
  13. I'm with Brett on this. The sooner we can get players like MYM, Anita, HBA, Marveaux, Cisse off our books the better. They've just been an anchor around Pard's neck. He needs to able to choose from players he actually wants so he can shape the team with his own vision in mind! The sad thing is, Pards probably looks at the squads of West Ham and Sunderland with envy. He'd love a team of Mark Noble's and Liam Bridcutt's. When he took over, he had a squad he could work with. Then we flogged them and started to rebuild. That's what doesn't make sense to me. Ashley knew he was flogging off these players so why didn't he pick a manager who could work with Carr's findings in the first place. Just doesn't make sense with Ashley. When Hughton was sacked (correctly), it was the perfect opportunity to upgrade to a top manager and start the rebuilding. I think its pretty clear why like. Why?
  14. Although didn't show all the game this morning, just extended highlights.
  15. Thought he was man of the match myself, like.
  16. Can get 3/1 for Carroll to be in the WC squad. Can see he's a player Hodgson would like and if he stays fit and puts more performances in like last night, 3/1 will be long gone in a few weeks time.
  17. He's not convinced with Dummett, like. He'll have Santon in ahead of him but he's not convinced with any of our left backs because none of them can defend

  19. NEWCASTLE UNITED WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED! ......whilst getting humped 4-0 off Man Utd.
  20. Well you clearly have still missed the point of the post when i'm basically saying Ashley is our biggest problem, not anyone else and i've never backed down for the hatred i have for Ashley. Ashley seems clueless when it comes to running the football club and he's either just stubborn enough to take everything as it is atm and settle on it or he doesn't have a good close advisor who is telling him the team has so much more potential and could be more profitable with a better manager in charge. He's just sat on the fence watching his club sway one way and then the other but isn't half arsed as long as it keeps bringing in it's current money.
  21. Theres absolutley 0 value in Pardew, man. There's a reason i've basically opted for Carr at the end...but if you want to find something negative in the post, suppose it would be that, but the point of the post has clearly whooooshed you.
  22. I can see where you are coming from but i personally could not go and watch Newcastle and be wanting Man Utd to score inside. Or any other team for that matter who we are up against.
  23. So you're rooting for Man Utd this weekend then in hope things get worse for Pardew. 3 points for Newcastle isn't a good thing.
