Who on here would keep him if a new owner came in? Name and shame please...
-
My brother has done this bet numerous times it's been on and he does it to guarantee profit and he's never not been paid out. Not saying it's bullshit but i guess there will be thousands of accounts that do this Hope this time they don’t pay him though just so I can laugh at his expense. I’ve yet to take advantage of it but might dive in this time.

I like HBA but I don't think he'd last a week with Mourinho. But then Jose wouldn't be at a club where his hands are tied in the first place. He likes to win things. Only thing which would change imo with a better manager, would be the standard of football. With the right manager our best players will play, the team will play better football but we will still be stuck on the same level. No manager under Ashley could get us a mainstay position in the top 6. Various managers could have a good season and capitalize on other clubs failings now and then but we will never stamp down our position in the top 6 with Ashley in charge. I wish we would get an upgrade just so we are more pleasing on the eye more consistently but at the end of the day, we will still just be around 7th/8th along with Everton until Ashley fucks off and an owner arrives with ambitions to achieve things with this football and doesn’t solely look at profit.

It's the owner who is the biggest problem in all this and why we can't move forward as a club. I'd love to see Jose come in and try and work with the cunt. He can sit there and say he wouldn't have allowed Cabaye to leave without a replacement but his club owner will constantly feed him money so he can deal with it. Managers like him will just keep walking away to save their dignity under an owner like Ashley. Pards has no dignity and is happy to keep getting shafted like this, he knew it would be the case before he accepted the job so he can hardly moan about it now.
-
Well when a club sells their best player, they rarely get the same level of player. Safe to assume the replacement won't be as good but we have to try and build the team back up to the standard it was with Cabaye. When you lose your best player, it's never a quick fix, takes time to rebuild.

Uh oh. I think the chances are they probably knew they wouldn't be replacing him in January. They probably still popped a couple of daft offers in hope for a bargain but when other clubs stood firm. think they accepted they will wait till the summer for a better price. No doubt in my mind we'll bring a replacement in the summer though. There isn't Ashley has spent around 15-20 million each year on transfers and he spent nothing in Jan so can see him spending around that in the summer, possibly even a bit more if a fair few players leave. I think we might see a lot of change over the summer, that's more of a guess though No, Ashley has made about 8.5m a season on transfers. He's spent f*** all. I never said anything in regards to profit made or lost. Simply made the point he's spent roughly that amount of money on incoming transfers each year. 2 years out of the last 5. Basically what HP says here. I agree.

Seen him in Mcdonalds at 4am absolutely mortal, a day before we played Liverpool away and he was re-assuring me there was no chance we would get relegated... f***ing hell Hardly inspiring, don't think he played that game either if i recall. Shearer probably had the spies out

Bilbao manager made some strange decisions here, like.
-
Bilbao been awful here. Worst I've seen them play for a while, usually really pleasing on the eye. Looks like they're missing a couple of players. Espana ol have played some nice stuff though.

Keegan with an unlimited budget...be like the perfect storm. Sums up Keegan: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/2291229/Kevin-Keegan-ready-to-pay-for-Thierry-Henry.html Wasn't his transfer list filled with these sort of no-chancers though? Was Frank Lampard not on it as well? 'Sometimes people limit themselves by saying, 'we can't do that'. You say 'why not?' and they don't give you an answer.' You also need a bit a realism...would be like Moyes strolling into Man Utd and telling them to sign Messi. You don't need an answer a question like 'Why can't we sign Messi', you just need to laugh I'm sure he had some sort of limit in his mind but I would rather a "we can" than a "we can't" type managing our team even if they are being a little over-ambitious. Would be nice, but when we've got a 'we can't' owner at the club, a 'we can' manager is never going to get very far.

Having a slight dig at the 15 quid ticket price

In an ideal situation i wouldn't want him as manager and was hoping he would be palmed off with Spurs recently however given our current situation Hoddle wouldn't be that much of an embarrassment appointment and would happily take the gamble on him. He’s welcome along in the Dof role if this is what it's rumoured to be shaping up as, again he’s an upgrade on what we previously had but it doesn't take much.
-
Agreed. Would take him as manager if he fancied it.
-
I think he's decent, surprised he hasn't been given more of a chance.

Kinda funny, bimpy highlighting one sentence totally changing the meaning of Brett's post and goes on a rant. No one even cares. In my defence i had no idea i did that, if i did or why........ I was going to reply but then i just couldn't be arsed so i ignored it, then it somehow escalated

It will mean they wil go for it, not be defensive and surrender like we do. Love how that has been spun. Thought he wants to win everything he is in, yet he won't accept a draw and would rather throw the game? Eh ?. It reads exactly as it should. Poyet will have a go. We do not, after watching some of our exits i dont how you can doubt that. We went out in extra time against the finalists and probably cup winners. Even though we went out, i walked out thinking well at least we gave that side a good go. Cardiff i was numb, i was thinking we were cruising into the next round. We got the goal and nothing much was happening in the game then Elliot decided to gift Cardiff a life line and suddenly we've got a game again and our players just crumbled and Pardew didn't have a clue what to do once they scored and we are out. Walked out of that game thinking Pardew and the players were a disgrace. Against Brighton, Pardew even said we hoped to stay in the game until the 70th minute before maybe nicking it. Does that sound like a manager who is going for it ? Does it bollocks. I wasn't at either of the Brighton games. The Stevenage one i was however and that was a travesty, we even picked a virtually full strength side for that as well unlike the kids against Brighton. That's why i don't believe all the shit like if Nolan/Barton were still here they wouldn't let those kind of results happen, well they did because i watched their half hearted performance with my own eyes against a league 2 side and they were shocking. His cup performances, Europe aside have been shocking and he's been given fair draws as well and still not managed to capitalise on that and he has to take the blunt of the blame for that. I've only ever been to one semi final in my lifetime though so it's not like i was used to all these amazing cup runs prior to Pardew. Always thought it was standard for us to go our fairly early.

Be interesting to see what he does after us actually. His next club is his last chance of stardom.
