Marmoush needs to work on his aerial threat
-
Tonight’s game is the most I’ve anticipated a game that doesn’t involve Newcastle for ages
-
“Partner club Chelsea” fuck off
-
Nice guy Sonny’s drop off has been an all time great one in fairness, I love him for that
-
Going to be so fucking shit to watch

Essentially this - “Reports suggest Tonali thinks Eddie is a busybody no mark with no mates while insiders at St. James’ Park indicate that Howe thinks Tonali’s moustache is bang out of order and having a negative impact on his teammates”
-
If Plymouth had binned Rooney earlier or never gone with him there’s a decent chance they wouldn’t be facing near certain relegation

Love the way she’s cracking up

Disagree with that, I don’t think he’s being lazy out there, his body is just done. He can’t use it to either impose himself on defenders and bully them off the ball or to run onto loose balls. He is unable to offer anything at all, although I imagine he can probably still score from ten yards if he’s found in space but that’s just incredibly rare in the premier league
-
Think Dibling immediately comes in and offers us something different and better in some respects, worse in others. Murphy is clearly much more well rounded in his strengths now, crossing in the final third is exceptional and actually one of the best on the RW in the league. He’s nowhere near as good as carrying as Dibling. Dibling is much more direct with dribbling. They’re such different players but Dibling is clearly the future. If he did come in, he’d get the Hall treatment with Murphy getting the lion’s share of RW starts

I respect Froggy’s fire, would a semi-final knockout or runner-up spot in the Europa extinguish it?

I fucking hate John McGinn, what a rancid cunt
-
Oooof, doesn’t inspire confidence
-
If Lewis Hall hadn’t been injured for the end of the season he’d be my player of the season. As it stands it’s between Tonali and Murphy. Tonali probably takes it but in terms of a player playing at their limit almost every game I don’t think anyone matches Murphy

Aye, needs to knock that shit on the head. You’re a keeper in the championship, have some humility lad. You can act the big lad when you’ve come to Newcastle and won the premier league

What a disgusting scene to wake up to

The tournament is poorer for not having CL teams drop in but it does feel out of order that they get another chance at silverware after having been dumped out of the CL. Personally, prefer it the way it is now but it’s ruined by the fact that the PL has such depth that teams in the bottom half are walking it

Not true Rod, expect this from you after a couple of bottles but not first thing in the morning. My issue is that it took them five mins of reviewing it, that’s not what VAR is for. It would never be given as a penalty pre-2020 but we’re going to see officials give these as penalties more and more now. Anytime a keeper collided with a player’s head there’s going to be a decent chance the refs will give a pen, unless they’ve made full contact with the ball beforehand

It’s like watching someone on PEDs or EPO in cycling when no one else is juiced. It doesn’t make sense how much stamina he has alongside that pace

You can talk all you want about purple patches and I think goalscoring wise he’s overperforming but from an assist perspective I think this is just his level. Playing with an elite striker means that the assists get put away and it’s huge for his confidence. The goals might reduce but I don’t think the assists will. That cut back for Isak was superb, the cross for Schar’s goal outstanding
-
Thought Trippier had a top game, Murphy’s best game for us, Tonali obviously, Schar had a very good game, Joelinton save for that one error in our half. Barnes was superb and really shouldn’t be shunted out to the right when Gordon comes on. Fantastic
