Feels like one of those players that will stay at West Ham until he’s getting on a bit and then will transfer to somewhere like Spurs but maybe I’m doing him an injustice. Think he looked more comfortable on the left hand side than he has done on the right but that might be just because he’s settling in more. I do think he’ll end up playing a very fluid role positionally over time

Was in the standing section so didn’t really hear it that much apart from in the quieter moments. Had no idea it was as loud as others have made out. I would never want us to have a drum but it’s quite nice as a change up for opposition fans to bring one

A blanket position of not liking or always preferring male commentators over female is misogynist. If it’s on the grounds of particular pundits then that may well not be misogynistic however if it’s coming from a place where you’ve already decided you don’t want women pundits then it’s clearly biased. There are some good women pundits and some shit ones. There are some good male pundits and some shit ones. Don’t really care who’s talking about the football in all honesty as long as people aren’t having shit takes and don’t have horrible personalities

Teams fall apart against us when they can’t get through our back line. It affects the rest of their play massively. Our defence is incredibly important not only in stopping us shipping goals but as importantly in dejecting other sides where our belief rises as theirs goes down. Time and again after we get a goal in games against teams that struggle to get shots off against us, we end up scoring a ton

That shot which led to Almiron’s goal was very nicely taken on the turn. Was unlucky in a way that he hit it so centrally as it wouldn’t have needed to be much to either side to have gone in due to how well it was struck. Thought he looked tired again from 60 mins and he was quite isolated but he’s such a joy to watch on the ball
