You can have a situation where a keeper is stupid for coming out to contest a ball that’s not going to amount to a good chance / will go out of play and where the attacking player makes use of that by putting their body in a position where contact will be made. That’s what happened yesterday. Stupid keeping, sly attacking play

The ref was an utter disgrace. I’d say he largely favoured Brentford with the smaller decisions, time and time again he blew up when we were mounting an attack after either no contact or fair winning of the ball. I don’t think either pen should be given but I understand why the Gordon one was. I just hate seeing pens given when there’s no actual chance of scoring a goal and where the attacker is the one angling to generate contact. I know Pata showed that still but I’d need to look at it properly, in all the replays I’ve seen I think the disallowed goal should have stood. Just a case of total ineptitude but at least VAR got it right about disallowing our second penalty

Leon Best deserves to be ahead of Wood. Perez is getting some love there, I really liked him but I never think of him as a striker

His close control is really good, he’s got great vision and decision making. The drawbacks are his lack of pace mainly. Whether he becomes a player at the top end of the league really depends on whether he can score goals consistently I think. I’m still not entirely sure what his best position is

Surprised to hear this, not sure what more he could have done so far this season. He’s played in multiple positions really well and probably been our most dangerous outlet, especially when games have been closed. Really think he’s going to become a top player

Was our best player in my opinion. Was the player driving us forward the most and he cut inside very nicely at one stage interchanging with Wilson

Showed really good strength on the ball especially in the second half

Not the easiest game for him to impress as they had everyone behind the ball a lot but he did a lovely through ball to Barnes at one stage and he did manage to get some good space at times
