Never not going to love this lad. I probably forgive him too much as he’s just such a top lad to have around but he’s honestly one of my favourite players ever for us. I think for pound-to-pound ability + likeability he’s the highest up on my list of people I like, above Jonas in terms of being quite limited but it doesn’t stop me loving the lad

Not really arsed about debating something that none of us have any insider info on but I’d imagine Ashworth relishes projects with potential. Brighton had that, we have that. In a sense, Man U have that as they’ve performed well below their standards for years. However, people like him need to have a lot of control in order to be happy in their jobs. There’s no way you get to the standing Ashworth has in the game without being a complete control freak. I seriously doubt he’d able to have the same level of control at Man U as he does here and that’s probably the crux of it if you take out all the other arguments

Did he even get the assist for that incredible cross yesterday?

Danny Murphy could see someone pull a knife out on the pitch: ”The thing is, you can see why he’s done it. He’s maybe overstepped in the moment but you want to see players who care. For me, it’s a quiet word in the ear”

Howay Brentford tomorrow. Also, it pains me but I hope Liverpool rinse Man U

Need to stop over-engineering the game and making it more complicated. I don’t even have an issue with sin bins in principle in sports but it’s just going to make football messier. If they were getting the yellows and reds right it’d be fine

He’s decent? He’s got lethal pace, he’s desperate to succeed, he’s got excellent ability at cutting inside and leaving a man for dead with his close control. He’s got excellent movement and spots a run. He’s also great at our press and putting in the defensive effort. He’s added more goals to his game. The next step is to provide more consistent chances for his teammates. He’s fairly faultless, sure he could have better tricks and technique and beat his man down the line but his overall game is outstanding

Burnley have been a major let down. Expected them to be a lot better than what they’ve shown so far this season
-
What made you doubt him in the previous games? He’s never not looked like a massive talent in my opinion

1-2 win to the Toon. The Chels lads will bottle it

Fuck, sounds like Lockyer is in better shape than it looked. What happens with suspended games? They complete the remainder at another time? Trying to remember a precedent for it in the league
-
Dunno like, he looks like he could be B2B but with much more quality on the ball. Very early days in terms of his position as he’s got so much to his game

Hope they come up, my in-laws live in Suffolk

Joel Bland with a huge scoop
-
Is he actually a fan? Anyone comparing Isak to Shola should get a lifetime ban from watching football in any format

Think the Brazilian boys will give them a hiding. Wilson to score, Tino to score

Is that Fulham away day pic a piss take?
-
They’re good at losing the ball when transitioning from midfield to the wingers and attacking players, they’ve got that pattern down well
-
Forest try to pass it around like a side that has a lot more technical ability than they have. They’d look great in the championship but in the PL it doesn’t work. I like Williams though
-
Utterly embarrassing that
-
Forest’s passing when trying to release their wingers has been atrocious. Wasted a bunch of good opportunities

Torydom? With that photo he may as well have gone with the Twitter handle “ToryNonce”
