He’s not going to be starting every game for the next 3.5 years. He always gives everything, he’s been our top scorer this season, he does a huge amount to help our overall play and he’ll continue to do so. Hopefully we’ll get a fantastic right winger in this season who is more direct and has more technical ability and then Miggy becomes a great alternative option, especially if we’re in Europe. Let’s not get on the back of a player who deserves pretty much the least criticism this season after Pope, Bruno and Jow

And also, criticism is totally fine always. It’s just overblown criticism or knee jerk nonsense that’s an issue. Criticising a manager for making poor decisions tactically or with player selection is always fair game. Doesn’t change the fact he’s a great manager and has worked wonders, but does mean he can look to improve and that’s to be expected. The longer it isn’t rectified the more criticism is merited and it would become worrying if he doesn’t make this change next week

I don’t really mind him losing the ball with passes in the opposition half but the amount of stray passes in our half is mounting and that’s what’s worrying

Agree that in the games where he gets less time on the ball it always happens. I think he’s shown signs of improving this part of his game in 2023 but it remains a weakness and one which we can’t really afford if we want to cement ourselves as a top 6 side going forward. Hopefully he can improve further

He had a poor game today for sure, his number one problem of taking too long on the ball was a fault in several moments, especially for the chance from 8 yards and one where it got nicked off him and they broke on us. The best thing about his game is his movement, he does read the game extremely well

There are changes I’d like to see, Burn <> Targett Miggy <> Murphy (I actually wouldn’t expect much from Murphy but Almiron could do with a rest and Murphy’s sub performances recently have shown he offers something different and that he’s in form Trippier <> Manquillo (if only to give Trippier a breather) All of the above changes are arguable, especially as Targett is coming back after a long injury lay-off. If he’d been match fit I’ve have played Targett weeks ago though. What’s not arguable and hasn’t been for weeks is: Wilson <> Isak It absolutely has to happen next week
