  1. Indeed, winning against Milan and managing to get through to the groups would be incredible and something that can’t really be quantified even though there is a lot of money for going through. I don’t think we’ll get top four this season (although fifth is possible) but this result won’t define whether we get that or not
  2. I’d say I’m generally an optimist and look at upcoming games and the season as a whole positively but I do think the top four are likely to remain the top four for the rest of the season. Not because they’re just having a good run of form but because they’ve all got deep squads and three out of four of the squads are the best in the league in terms of their first 11. I did say that Spurs would drop off several weeks ago and that’s happened but I don’t see any of the top four currently dropping away, even Villa but who knows. Like people say, there is a long way to go
  3. This. The business model shouldn’t be - Say something awful Generate loads of shocked and angry responses Say that we’ll have a debate on my podcast Generate loads of income and interest off clickbait. It should be - Say something awful for views Everyone ignores you, never invites you to speak on anything and starves you of oxygen as it’s the only thing that actually works with these people. Being deplatformed or losing out on opportunities to spew bile in loads of different places is the only way
  4. He’s an absolute parody like. It’s like someone asked an AI generator to make the most boring man alive but give him unbridled confidence
  5. Mad season this, Villa look nailed on for top four. If so, then City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Villa is already pretty much decided. Wish we had the players to compete but injuries mean we don’t have a chance at top four. I think the fifth spot is still up for grabs but is dependent on us somehow getting through this December and new year period without getting completely cut adrift
  6. The mad thing about Klopp and Liverpool is, they won’t for a second acknowledge when they get decisions for them. The slightest decision against and it’s a massive overreaction. Liverpool fans were always particularly quick to feel like victims but it’s been enhanced by them having Klopp as manager who’s the worst for it
  7. It’s pretty much guaranteed that as soon as someone uses the word Woke in the pejorative that their argument isn’t worth listening to
  8. Stopped after a few seconds, can’t be fucked watching people’s reactions unless they’re that South Korean fan who throws stuff round his room

I think it’s nice to support players who leave after being at your club for years and being a star for you. Bit different with Henderson and Pickford who both left at the absolute earliest opportunity really and whose careers have been defined by their time at Liverpool and Everton. The only times I’ve cared a lot about ex-players have been the times we’ve been their main club
  10. He is a gifted defender in all honesty. If he’d not had injuries throughout his career and if being a LB was only about what defending in the defensive third and nothing else, he’d have had an amazing career. Sadly, he’s probably one of the most limited footballers I can think of that’s turned out for us on the ball and going forward
  11. I like Joe Cole to be honest. Clearly enjoys the game as a viewer like Carragher and takes his job seriously rather than just chatting nonsense for cash
  12. Anyone know if Son is meant to be fucked? As per the clip?
  13. It’s cumulative in that it’s only going to get worse if we can’t rotate but it doesn’t stand that each standalone game will get worse. Just that overall, the trend will be that we are more consistently affected by the fatigue until we can rotate
  14. Did you read my post? Fatigue isn’t linear, we will have very poor games and then very good ones still whilst tired. It’s not the only answer as to why we might lose certain games but it’s a major factor
  15. One last thing but fatigue isn’t some linear thing. It’s not just “I had four days before this game, five before that one etc”. It’s a cumulative thing. Gordon must have ran amongst the most yards in the league this season. Isak isn’t fit. Trippier is probably one of the most mentally tired players in the league. Bruno and Jow play every minute they can and also did international football. There’s no let up, everyone’s got a higher physical workload and mental load than ever before. We’re going to have more off days because of this but it’s not a case of “we’ve had four days for this one so we’re fucked, six for that one so we’ll be class”
  16. People falling over themselves to come up with reasons for why we’re inconsistent away and lost last night when we’ve fielded the same team back to back three times without making a single sub, no? With many of those players having either played almost every minute this season when fit. See you lads for Spurs
  17. I use it to check previous season stats sometimes and our fixture list / previous games this season. Never look at it for any upcoming stuff

    Joe Willock

No more word on whether it’s a short lay off for him?
  19. Not going to get into hypotheticals but goalkeeping comparison isn’t just about would this GK have saved this shot. It’s about what a different GK would do to close down space, make themselves bigger. I think Dubs is a perfectly good shot stopper but he’s not remotely close to Pope in terms of reducing the quality of shots and time people have to take shots. Personally think, Pope saves the third goal for sure by coming out and putting pressure on the attacker. Goal one he doesn’t stand a chance and goal two is probably similar
  20. Worst game this season, whatever. He’s outstanding and will learn from it how to handle his head / emotions
  21. He’ll be more upset than anyone else but he’s probably one of the most mentally strong players in the league so it won’t have any negative effect on him
  22. Also, we’re managing our resources. When we play at home, we commit to the full team press on certain triggers. Away from home it’s a much lighter press and it’s clearly because we don’t have the legs to be doing both home and away heavy pressing
  23. Clearly not fully fit, simple as that. He’s still a great outlet but he can’t hack the workload with his body at the moment
