I generally quite enjoy Jonathan Liew’s sport takes but he’s clearly just decided to go for something that he knows will provoke a reaction. A lot of his writing is like that but often founded on a truth. Acting like we weren’t robbed yesterday to try and inflame our fans is a very weird line to take from a sports fan

Aye, could end up being a bit of a shitfest low on quality because of respective fatigue and injuries. 1-0 win to us

Put on a clinic tonight. Would still be hard now if he’d somehow saved that penalty

Going to go down as our best ever manager in a few year’s time. The way he develops players, the togetherness he creates, the footballing style and systems. Everything, he’s winning stuff for us. Love him to bits

Never ever a pen and to be honest, if this is the direction the game continues to go with more and more VAR intervention that results in bafflingly awful decisions then I’m going to struggle to keep watching. That’s obviously a very reactionary response coming from a massive high earlier to a huge low but it genuinely is ruining the game

Indeed, that one was even first contact with the arm rathe then off the chest first. Ludicrous. VAR can fuck right off and the ref can too

As if VAR called the ref over for it. Every single one of them should be out of a job. We just going to give pens for hitting chests first are we?
