Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)
gbandit replied to David Edgar's topic in Football
You just know that during the pandemic on Thursday nights Steak Bakes would have been outside his home accepting the warm applause of his neighbours, maybe taking a stroll up and down the street to really soak in the adulation -
I don't watch much of Leeds but the couple of games I've watched this season Harrison has looked poor. I'm sure there's a lot of quality there as we were definitely interested in the past but I feel Gordon is more direct. Gordon feels like a player who is already perfectly in the mould that Eddie wants
-
No chance we pay anything close to that, even with add ons
-
Boyhood Rats FC, one of the stronger rodent teams
-
We been linked with any polish league players in the last few windows?
-
Not to be a dick but who wouldn't love MacAllister, he's absolutely immense
-
Think I might refuse to go into work for a few days and put in a transfer request
-
Just checked Transfermarkt and it looks like he's played 99 mins for the last four games after being out with concussion for at least ten games. They'd been on an awful run but won the other week so it'll be interesting to see how he gets on from now on
-
Has anyone followed Lucas's performances there? Howe was bigging him up pre-season but i haven't heard a word about him since then
-
Fair point, if we were primed for relegation and Longstaff was underperforming and our fans were accosting Sean I'd be worried for his wellbeing
-
If I was being accosted by fans I'd be looking to force a move, I don't think it's all about a rat fleeing a sinking ship. It's massively toxic and a disaster for his career to stay there. I don't think you can read much into his behaviour in missing training
-
Think it could be a career-ender for Dyche, they're going to get relegated so he'd need to be kept on and take them straight back up. They should definitely come back up but if the chaos persists it's not guaranteed. For Bielsa, he'll manage until he's dead
-
NETD, going to get a tattoo across my back North East Top Ducks If we win the semi final and final* *Disclaimer, I will not be held to the terms of this announcement and have authority to back out of this at any moment
-
The only thing that could derail it is the pure chaos currently oozing out of every pore at Everton. Are they for sale or not? I know Moshiri said not but that's probably because their sale value is at an all time low
-
That season in the championship was a revelation, enjoyed it way more than many of the seasons we've battled relegation and stayed up. Wouldn't want to ever be there by choice but it was great for club unity. Dread to think what it would be like to not come instantly back up though
-
Agreed, even accounting for ASM and Isak having a good and to the season which I think is highly likely if they're injury free, we still need a goalscoring midfielder to come in during this transfer window
-
Didn't Tony Soprano have lots of dreams about ducks? Are you a mafia boss @joeyt ?
-
It's all part of the transfer fun / chaos. I think journalists are fair game for the most part. If 95% of their output doesn't come off then they can take some healthy abuse on here. In reality, they're only feeding off scraps themselves as any sensible club is not going to give them much info but when they say stuff like "the deal is almost done" and then it comes to nothing they deserve to take some heat

The day Shefki Kuqi put pen to paper on a contract that would not only change his life but all of ours too
-
I can’t remember those goals he scored to keep us up, did he put his laces through any and strike them cleanly or was it side footers etc? He’s got quite nice technique at placement but when he tries to put his foot through it, it all goes wrong
-
My main hope for other clubs before the end of the window is that no one takes Chelsea loanees off their hands without rinsing Chelsea in the process
-
Our recruitment puts a lot of emphasis on bringing in good characters, also if you read the article on a previous page you’d see that although he’s a rat, he’s a kind-hearted rat
-
He out that lovely through ball on for Murphy on the left and Murphy just stared at it
-
Think we need to give the scouts more credit seeing as they’ve done a great job
-
He can beat you for pace, he can beat you with his dribbling quality or he can beat you by picking out and delivering a perfect pass. If his body is ready then he should start every game for us
