That price is comedy, death threats one week, giz us £500m next week
-
Diaby is definitely not available for £40m, there was talk of €90m earlier this window

“Hi, is that Rentokil? I’d like to cancel a call-out to St. James’ park, aye that’s right, the rat poison call-out. What, I have to give a reason? Erm, can you just type in - He’s our rat now, cheers pet”

Really doesn’t matter who they get, you don’t save a club with that level of toxicity mid-season especially if the owners stay. Even if they left though, it’s too late to save them. Will be interesting to see what happens to them as a club if they go down with respect to their new stadium, their ownership and whether they can bounce straight back up

I don’t have any concerns about him coming to us other than the fact his form has dropped this season but there are far more established players that lose their way under terrible managers and surrounded by poor players. It’s so toxic at Everton that I can understand why he’s dropped off. I thought he was their best player last season, I also think Howe would quickly get him playing at the peak of his current level and bring him on further. There are players out there that I’d far rather we went for but I’d be surprised if it goes wrong for him or us if he comes
-
Where would he play for us if we did sign him, he’s played LW, RW and CF this season. He must have played AM last season as well, he’s versatile at least

I don’t knock it at all from the perspective of being a one-club player, it’s something to be admired if that’s what you want. That has way more value than a trophy in my book if you love the club that much. However, he desperately wanted out twice, did he not put in two transfer requests and they were blocked by Levy? I would have thought that would have damaged his relationship with the club but if not then fair play. You can tell with Shearer that it hasn’t bothered him that he didn’t win stuff with us but obviously he won the league with Blackburn so I don’t know if it would have been different if he didn’t have that
-
You get some credit for this one, excellent usage
-
Kane’s contract runs until Summer ‘24, I can’t see him extending because of the way Levy has blocked him leaving twice, he’s have to be an idiot. Are they just going to let his contract run down or try and get a proper fee this summer?

Chelsea aren’t finishing top 4 this season, they should definitely finish top 6 with the players they have, especially Mudryk but there’s an outside chance that they don’t get a European spot because their strike force is so poor. What on Earth is going to happen to them and that squad if they don’t get into Europe, they deserve for it all to come crashing down

Carragher clearly pays a ton of attention to football and you get the impression he takes his role very seriously, wanting to make sure he’s not just an ex-player who mouths off without any substance. Sadly, that’s who Neville is now which he really wasn’t in his first few years on the scene. I imagine he’s just paying less attention to football outside of Man U

Fucking hell, a white card? I’m all for making the world a better place, but I’d gag if someone tried to give me a white card for sportsmanship
-
Name a bigger whopper who played for us and Stephen Ireland doesn’t count because he was here for a handful of games
-
Unbearable how they keep getting out of jail because of Kane when they’re absolutely shit
-
It’s actually impressive how shit Conte has got Spurs playing
-
Lloris was desperate to drop a clanger there
-
Respect to Willian, when he came back to the league I thought it was as a final pay day where he wouldn’t dig in. He’s always been a great player but I love that he’s still giving it his all now and is quality
-
High on the specification for a new forward / attacking midfielder has to be: not made of glass
-
I’d much rather they take their time and get him completely right rather than rushing him even if it means he doesn’t start over the next three-four games. It was a muscle injury right? Which has to be carefully managed, more so than most injuries

I don’t mind Neville when he’s talking about politics because at least he consistently hammers the Tories and you don’t get many people in sport who outwardly call them out. But fuck me, he’s got such a big mouth and always delivers anything he says as if it’s a fact instead of holding his hands up and saying “I don’t watch enough of Newcastle to say exactly how they play but this is what I think of them”
