It’s a nice sentiment but we’re not a charity for footballers who can’t get a game. They’ve both been excellent in terms of attitude at the club and have been a part of our turn-around even if it was more about supporting with the club culture rather than achieving things on the pitch. I can’t really see a reason why Ritchie stays but Lascelles has more of an argument to be around for at least another year, especially if we get into Europe

Is it not that surprising that Bissouma hasn’t looked great given how long he didn’t play for? Must have been a difficult time in terms of being able to focus on football and training. I saw him recently and thought he looked decent but hadn’t kept an eye on at spurs before then

Really pleased for him that he’s got a fantastic move to us. I and all the fans will be giving him loads of support. Think he’ll repay that support in the second half of the season although I’m not sure exactly how Howe will bring him into the team and where he’ll play him. Do we think Willock or Longstaff are most likely to lose their place? I’d think that he’d be a more like-for-like replacement for Willock but I’d much prefer Joe to stay and Longstaff to have a rest

I can't imagine he's high in demand and they're essentially doing us a favour taking him off our books, we've massively struggled to sell squad players in recent years, mainly loaning them out but hopefully we can agree a fee
