  1. Happy with either walking away or walking away as a bargaining tactic. If the agent doesn’t back down then it clearly wasn’t going to happen anyway. Shame if it doesn’t work out as I was excited about this one
  2. Aye, we’ve got quality wingers coming out of our ears, good riddance I say
  3. Great signing for Arsenal, this could be their season for getting back in the top 4. They’ll be desperate to make it happen next season otherwise I can’t see it happening again for a long time

“Went for a sneaky peak round SJP today, they’ve added several padded cells and instead of the staff wearing black and white, they were all in white. Stay tuned for more later.”
  5. Aye, he clearly thinks because we’re Dollar United he can play hardball for more cash. I’m glad we’re not being pushed around. Was reassuring to hear Romano talk about our approach yesterday
  6. There was a link about a week ago saying we had some interest, don’t think it said much more than that though
  7. Personally think that’s a great deal for you, but not guaranteed success without a number of other upgrades too
  8. If he ends up signing for someone else I’m going to end up with an irrational dislike for him

    Nick Pope

Happy to add to the chorus of approval, I’m not going to get excited about the signing but it makes a lot of sense and is a position we need to fill. I imagine in the long-term Howe will want a keeper who’s great with his feet but we’re not there yet and don’t need to be just yet
  10. My gut feeling is that I need a shit
  11. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/hugo-ekitike-newcastle-united-latest-24279591?t He can carry on his holiday on the beaches of Tynemouth and Whitley Bay when he finally gets over here
  12. That's the first I've heard of us still being in for Lingard. I imagine we'll go for him if we get his wage demands down to something reasonable. Not seen Tosin at all, anyone seen much of him at Fulham?
  13. Then get him revealed on the NUFC social media account climbing to the top of the Tyne Bridge
  14. Come on 'More Transfer Rumours' thread, step up your game today and stop being a little bitch
  15. West Ham bidding for Broja around £30m, if he gets halfway through a medical with them maybe we can try outbidding them
  16. I don’t think that playing well already in the premier league is a guarantee that it’ll transfer to a new team, especially for someone like DCL who depends a lot on the people around him
  17. I don't think anyone is signing him for £30m as his contract is until Jun '25, as such, I think he'll go for something close to £50m. Do I think he's worth £50m? No, I don't. I'm not a scout and don't know the valuations of players on the continent that could be signed for between £30m - £50m but I know that English players and players that play for England come at a stupid premium. If he was available for £30m then I think it could be a decent signing but only if there's a lot of pace around him.

  19. What age did people’s kids on here get into playing football and enjoying it? My three and a half year old daughter is starting to enjoy passing a ball round more but it’s on and off. Would love for her to be up for a kick about regularly
  20. Lingard’s not getting linked anymore is he?
  21. Anything close to £50m is absolutely mental. Even at £30m I think it's questionable. He's a good finisher with really good movement and he's had a couple of nice goal-scoring spells. I think with the right players around, e.g. pace, so that he can make runs through the middle he will continue to get goals. I think Howe could get a decent return out of him but I'm sure we could sign a more complete player from the continent
  22. "This is about more than football, it's about your local community. There are people who've spent their whole lives going to this stadium, seeing the class of 92 and to have that taken away from them, it's just unfair. They don't deserve that and that's why I think someone has to step in and be the voice of reason here. For next season, make the Premier League a 22-team league, you get more games and you make sure these loyal fans don't lose out. It's a no brainer."
