  1. The best rb in the Championship, young and out of contract. Strange if we're not after him. Prefer Deubuchy, but cannot complain if we're getting Clyne instead..
  2. I know this says nothing but, hey, it's been quiet lately. And I really, really, really want us to sign him! Forget him, boys, especially if MU are in for him although I think that rumour is false. Why would they be in for him when they have Rafael, Jones and Smalling all capable of playing RB? They are more likely to sign Baones for the LB role. Ahley wont shell out 8 million quid on a full back especially as Dedbuchy will be 27. No sell on profit in that. If France goes far in the tournament and Deubuchy plays as well, even 8 mill won't be enough. That injury on Sagna really fucked up our chances. I don't think the age will be a problem if MA gets a player with the right attitudes and who will significantly strengthen the team. He made an exception for Cisse and I really think he'll make an exception for Deubuchy if the price is right. Yo knows him, he'll have no problem settling in and he takes care of himself health wise. If we sign Deubuchy for £6 mill, MA knows that we've nailed down the right back for 5 seasons and maybe even longer if he avoids any serious injuries. That's deffo worth the loss of resale value.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Hatem tearing every opponent a new one. Completely overshadowing Benzema he's hailed by everybody as Messi v.2.0, . His reception when he returns back to Newcastle is like the second homecoming of Jesus. Next day we read on the official site that Hatem is forever grateful to Pards and NUFC for saving his career and that he's signed a new 6 year contract. For a maximum bulge in your pants, imagine a picture where Hatem is sitting behind a table with a pen in his hand, ready to sign the contract. He got that cute little grin of his. Next to him stands Pards, slightly bent, with an arm around Hatem's shoulder. He's put on that smile that no woman can resist.. :fwap: That is actually my dream scenario this Euro.

I love Guiness, but I can imagine that it's not the best thirst-killer when it's 40 degrees..

    Corona...dear me... that's like drinking water....No aftertaste
  6. A 4-3-3 with Tiote and Diame as holdning midfielders would be indestructible
  7. He's the dreamboat ffs. When we can't resist him, how can Blanc..

Fantastic news! Everyone with a twitter-account should bombard him with congrats-tweets and bromance-love
  9. Cisse can hold the ball up. But not as effective as Ba was at it before the African Nations. Primarily that what I see their roles being, but of course they will swap roles for periods during the game, so that Ba can have a rest. Ba's hold up play home against Man-U was absolutely fantastic. One of the best performances I've ever seen from an nufc-attacker. He just danced around so effortlessly: Kept the ball so we could move the team upwards, but was also inside the box when needed.
  10. Good point about Ba's tired legs. I think Ba would work well in a 4-3-3 formation. But Cisse likes to drop into the hole to. Some of his holdup play was excellent. With Gameiro we get an even more specialized attacker. But ideally i'd like ba to sign a new contract. Once Ba has recovered he'll be his old goal-scoring self. Being fresh and having Cisse and HBA to play with instead of Best and Shola doesn't hurt either....
  11. I'd take him if Ba leaves. Think Gameiro fits better with Cisse too. We've struggled at bit in the 4-4-2 formation and that's maybe because Cisse and Ba are too similar. . Both are classical center forwards who like to take part in the build up play. We could need an attacker who focuses mainly on the space behind the defense: Opposite movement in other words. We'd get that with Gameiro.
  12. Bump! http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/9731295.Newcastle_offered_the_chance_to_sign_Gameiro/? If there's any truth in this article, would you take him? If the price is right maybe. I don't think he rejected us specifically, but PL in general. I imagine him being similar to bellamy but with better finishing skills? But he must work in a 4-3-3 too though.
  13. And that says it all really..Clichy isn't the best lb defensively, but right now he's far better in that compartment than Evra..
  14. Agree! Eg. the through ball to HBA against WBA. Or against Stoke where he found Cabaye who then went on and hit the mother of all passes. The graft he puts down each match must not be underestimated. Have no problem seeing Jonas pairing up with Tiote next season. It's much more important that we funnel the money into two proper defenders and a good, promising attacker .
  15. Ideally I prefer Mbiwa, but I won't complain if we sign Douglas instead.
  16. I'm more afraid of other clubs paying a bigger sign on fee than we could match. Last season we could sign quality players like Barnetta under the radar. Now everybody will be spying on us. If informal channels say we're interested in him, other clubs will almost certainly follow.
  17. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1079815/bolton-midfielder-lee-chung-yong-coy-on-future?cc=4716 Lee would be a great addition. Wicked foot.
  18. Imagine Martinez turning down LFC and instead taking the job as Villa manager.
  19. Fantastic read. Surreal that this stud plays for us: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1196869-euro-2012-players-to-watch-yohan-cabaye-of-france Still Cats for me like...
  20. The best thing is that we'll probably sell Simpson for £4 mill and buy Deubuchy for £6 mill, and Deubuchy is a French international Hopefully Simpson will train a little with Deubuchy before he's sold. Only that way he'll realize how turboshit he really is. Are we not getting a little ahead of our selves Punky..? Got to stay positive

  22. Close enough for me :frantic: :frantic: :fwap: :fwap:
  23. There are a couple of reasons for that. First and foremost, he wants to start every game. I think he's affraid of being on the bench a lot if he goes to a bigger team - he was on the bench a lot at Hoffenheim and hated it. Secondly, he loves to play under Brendan Rodgers. He give him his first chance at Reading and has a lot of faith in him, and the the way Swansea play also suits Gylfi really well. Fair point, but the question is : Can Swansea afford him? Cannot believe that Swansea is the only club after him. 7 goals for Swansea since Christmas from a midfielder positon is very impressive imo. Could Sigurdsson force a move to Swansea if a biddingwar starts, resulting in offers Swansea have no chance in hell matching?
  24. Hoffenheim bought him for £7-8 mill. No way they're selling him for approxemately the same amount after his show in PL. I'd love it if we bought him. Krul Deubuchy Mbiwa Colo Santon Cabaye Tiote Sigurdsson HBA Cisse Ba This is really a jizz-worthy team!
  25. Don't be so harsh . An attacker lives for goals man. The man was paired with rubbish the first half of the season and was an attack by himself. That combined with the AC took all his energy. Without him we'd be a mid-table team..
