  1. Enrique's defensive skills has always been applauded, but people tend to forget how much help he's received from Jonas.
  2. If you're using Opera or Mozilla, you can punch in a HTTP-proxy (tools-general options-network). I used the following uk http server 109.123.70.47 port 80. The delay is between 20-sec - 60 sec, so you got to be patient. I waited around one minute before the video popped up.
  3. Cheers mate. Not available for us outside UK, somebody with download manager and time on their hands ?

    Alan Pardew

I know, it's fucking insane. His results are astonishing when we consider the limitations he's been forced to deal with. I especially like his positivity. His intentions are to win, even when playing away against Villa, an opponent we've lost against the four previous matches. Such bold and positive statements rubs off on the players. They go out believing that it's possible to get a good result. The difference between such an attitude and telling the players to lie deep and get a draw, could be huge.
  5. In terms of getting different kind of goals, he was. I don't think he's ever scored from outside the box for Man Utd..... maybe just the one against Charlton in his last season, but don't quite remember if it was just inside or outside. I remember his scoring a great solo goal against Fulham, though. He takes his goals well, no doubt about it, but not sure about his effectiveness outside the danger area. He scored ONE goal outside the box, against Boro, and that due to a mistake by Schwarzer who let the ball tumble between his legs. RVN was a master in defeating the offside trap, and that was his forte. The best poacher I've ever seen. But like Carroll, he needs to be fed. Had he played for a weaker team, he would have struggled much more.
  6. Tiote was noticed quite quickly imo. Enrique on the other hand was correctly ignored the first two seasons. Nobody wanted him after our relegation. If you include our Championship season, he used three seasons to settle. Tiote and Cabaye on the other hand used three matches

  8. He lacked end product against Villa, but he was important because he was able to run with the ball. That took the pressure of the defense. Previously, all that responsibility fell on Jonas' shoulders.
  9. Claus Lundekvam said it wasn't a obvious mistake. He could have acted a bit cooler, no need to put his foot out. But on the other hand, he was very unlucky with where the ball landed, dead on the foot of Anglabanglahor. That ball could have bounced anywhere..
  10. Fuck me, today he given more space, and he was just superb! His passing and shots are just unbelievable! What a signing. What makes it even funnier is that Lpool paid £19 mill for Henderson, and he's shit in comparison
  11. WBA under Hodgson is much more difficult team to be up against. And under Pards we have become better at beating those team we should beat. It was CH who was in charge home against Wigan, Burn and Bpool, if I remember correctly...
  12. As the season pans our, obvious candidates for relegation will be visible. If you don't think we're capable of talking all three points at home against team like Norwich, Swansea and Wigan without Tiote, your faith in our team and manager is frightenly low.. We have to go out to win every game with the best players available. I don't want Lovenkrands in over Ba, or Shola in over Best. I want to have my best eleven fit players on the pitch and playing. Then you have a predicament. The chances of winning home against eg. Swansea will be massively in our favor without Tiote. But if he hypothetically is suspended the next home match against a team such as Villa because he accumulated five yellow cards ( and he received one of them in the previous home match against Swansea) our odds of winning that particular game could be greatly reduced. So in our eager to secure all 6 points in those two home matches, we're fielding our strongest team against a weak opponent, and a weakened team against a strong opponent (due to Tiote's suspension). The result could of course be a victory in the first match, but a loss in the second. Had we instead rested Tiote against Swansea, our odds would still be greatly in our favor. Then he's available against Villa, which would increase our chances of beating them too . So by rotating him, our TOTAL odds of beating BOTH those team, is increased. This example is very hypothetical, but it rests on one simple assumption: the more you use a player, the greater the probability of injury and suspension. You could reduce this probability by resting key players in particular matches, where our chances of winning is still good.

  14. Mangers do practice that philosophy you know, and with success..SAF and Solskjaer are good examples.. Can you not see the difference between those examples and us, like? That's why I don't want us to rotate frequently, only against the shittiest team and in cup matches.
  15. gulp Oi they are not Barca you know. Oh good, we can rest Coloccini and Cabaye then. Punk77? Good point, well made. Did i miss something there ? Resting Colo is suicide. And he's not injury prone either. The man is made of steel, neither is he collecting many cards. But using eg. Gosling in midfield instead of Tiote home against the shittest team should be an option. That would give the former valuable match time, while the latter is protected from picking up another yellow card.
  16. Mangers do practice that philosophy you know, and with success..SAF and Solskjaer are good examples.. 1. ManU has a much bigger and quality squad. 2. QPR is no f***ing 'inferior opposition' to us. we are not world beater. 3. i never see SAF dropped Rooney in the league game when the points still matter unless he's not 100% fit. they do rest their key players , but only when playing in the cup games, or champions league when the result doesn't matter anymore I've seen him rest both Rooney and Hernandez home against the WEAKEST teams. Honestly though, I was wrong about QPR, but home against the worst teams, we should have strong enough squad to rest one key plyer.
  17. I'm neither saying that we should practice their philosophy extensively. But really, people should start to question WHY we're always plagued with so many injuries.

  19. And with that comment, you surpassed me. Apologies mate. Come to think of it you're easily one of the strongest posters on here. Maybe you should sit the game out tonight? Can't have our best posters posting about every game, fatigue will set in. Are you being whooshed, silly? Unless I'm being double whooshed. I'm on about him saying we should play our reserves every time we play a team in the bottom half, not playing Ben Arfa against the top 4, etc. I'm so sick of reading it ffs, it's absolute bollocks. You obviously are not capable of reading between the lines. I'm arguing for a policy of rotating our players. I'm against fielding our strongest team in every match because that will (with 100% certainty) result in a shit storm of injuries. But I am NOT saying that we'll rest MANY players, just one or maybe two. Why risk Ba against QPR or Wigan, when it's a good chance that we'll take three points anyways. We need him fit and ready against the better teams, where Løven will be useless. I'm not debating this with you anymore, you're talking shit. And you're just too stupid to understand..

Rotation is the key to success imo, that will also make the reserve players better too. if you never play them, they'll be utter shit when you are forced to play them because one in the XI is injured. MON is here a prime example of such a useless policy.

Can't have our best posters posting about every game, fatigue will set in. I'm more positive to the regime and the club than most, and that's probably annoying, but that gives you no reason to pollute the forum with derogatory remarks. I like a good debate, but in a respective manner..
  22. And with that comment, you surpassed me. To be the 2nd biggest idiot is ok for you?
  23. No point in risking our best players? You having a laugh. Neither Ba and Mav are match fit. Putting them up against opponents that are 100% fit will not do them any good. In fact, it will probably increase the probability of injury. It's much better to use them in the second half when Ferdinand is getting tired. Then they'll be more effective, eg Ba against Fulham. Course they're match fit ffs, Ba in particular has had a full pre-season. Pards said he hasn't been 100%.
