  1. True, but now we have Mav and Romain as backups for Ba, Cisse and Hatem. That's a pretty good reinforcement in attack. I really like what I've seen from Mav: superb ball control, great vision and always make the right pass at the right time. Although he must be used on the left.. But i'd be laying if I said that I wouldn't take Hoilett He would've made the transfer window pardtastic.
  2. I've read that he often forgets his defensive responsibilities. If Pards can coach it into Ben Arfa, he can coach it into anyone. Hoilett's top of my list this summer tbh. Would be a terrific addition to the squad - a superb option to have because Ben Arfa, Ba and Cisse aren't going to be going at 100mph for all 55 games next season. Better depth up front is vital if we're going to maintain our league position and/or challenge for one of the trophies. If we get Mwiba and Deubuchy and keep all our players I'm a happy camper.

  4. No! We want to keep both. As Pards said, the schedule is very tough next seaon and he'll have to rotate players. His challenge is getting Ba, Cisse, HBA and Colo to understand that they cannot play every match.. There will be plenty of games for everbody. If we sell Ba, we'll only have one good central attacker left. The backup is rubbish. With Mav back and the signing of Rameiro we now have the squad depth to rest our best players when possible. Firstly, I don't want those last 3 rotated to the point that it has to be a challenge to make them realise there's a need to be rotated. Or is this the 'we're good enough to rest our first teamers against the likes of Wigan' thing again? Second, if we go out and get a more suited player for that left hand side of a 433, do you really think Ba will be content sat on the bench waiting for Cisse to tire/get injured? Yes, we need good back up, but you're mad if you think we're at the point of being able to hold onto players like Ba for that kind of role, particularly when he was our main man barely six months ago. Guthrie won't even do it ffs. I've never said that we should rest many key players against weaker opponents but one, maybe two. I think BA will work great in 4-3-3 formation once he's recharged his batteries . Cisse and him will switch positions during the match, and by having two good attackers we have the possibility of resting one of them when needed. If Ba is sold we need to replace him with a proper attacker. Maybe De Jong?

  6. Imo he'll be a good signing, especially if we're going to mix between 4-4-2 and 4-2-1-3 next season . We don't have a classical right winger in the squad now who is good enough. HBA is deffo best in a 4-3-3 fomation where he can wander freely.
  7. We don't know that. Pards will lie to the media if that's what it takes to get the players he wants. Cisse came out of nowhere. The media didn't know dick about his transfer before he was observed in Newcastle.
  8. http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/newcastle-target-barnetta-to-quit-bayer-leverkusen-1-4574609 He'll not renew his contract. Do we still need him?
  9. I'd wank myself to death if we get Mbiwa and Deubuchy. From what I've seen of Mbiwa on youtube he looks like he's strong, fast, solid in the air and has a good technique. Deubuchy could likely happen, but I'll very surprised if get Mbiwa too.
  10. I'm not sure what you mean about Torres obliterating the league due to his physical attributes swelly. He was outstanding in LFC because of his combination of speed, movement, ball touch and finishing skills. But PL is a physical league and he got injured. So he bulked up in order to protect himself better.. If you look at Torres now compared to earlier, he's much bigger. But Torres' increased size hurt his speed and movement . Instead of being a mobile, nimble attacker who could easily outturn a defender, he's become more stationary player who's good at protecting the ball.
  11. If the source is "reliable", he's probably regarded as an unreliable fuck by the Manure hierarchy. And our current transfer policy makes a Carrick transfer very logical..... Seing Tiote in that disgusting jersey would end me.
  12. Unbelievable. Simpson has high pass completion because he only hits easy support or short passes, and sometimes a hoof when he's under pressure. Statistics aren't objective facts, but must be analyzed in context. When I watched the WBA-game again, I tried to pay attention to the passing quality of Perchinio and Simpson. Needless to say, Perchinhio was much better. He made constructive, offensive passes to the midfield. Giving the ball to simpson was like giving it away. Almost every time he tried to make a long range constructive pass he missed completely. And we dominiated that game ffs.
  13. I don't think the wages will be problem tbh. . Yo and Deubuchy are very good friends and social relationships affect club choice. We would not have gotten Cisse if it wasn't for Ba for example. Hatem and Yo are probably tapping him up as we speak. It's Deubuchy's contract situation that makes the whole transfer unlikely. Lille might have more interest in delaying the transfer. But if Lille accepts an nufc-offer before the Euros, I don't think Deubuchy will hesitate signing
  14. If we pull this deal off it before the Euro it will be a major coup by the club. Has to be signed before the Euro though. He'll be out of our price range afterwards. Deubuchy will improve our right side massively. His brown eye probably got more vision for a pass than Simpson.
  15. Solskjær could be a good appointment, but he'll probably not be a villa manager for long. His MFK-contract states that he could leave immediately if Manure wants him. And he'll probably want the same get out clause in his villla contract too. If he does well with Villa he might take over for SAF in 3-4 years time. That would be a fucking nightmare. The Norwegian media will not write about nothing else.
  16. You don't say no thanks if you've a chance to sign a French international full back for £6 mill. According to some rapports Deubuchy is just as good as Sagna, and we would have taken him in a heartbeat woudn't we? With Deubuchy we'll get two great flanks that mix up well: On the left we have Santon who cuts inside and Mav who whips crossers into the box. On the right Deubuchy will cross (I read that he got a great right foot) and HBA who's capable of anything. It's fucking dynamite!! Don't want Pieters. He's too slow. We need fullbacks with speed.
  17. I think we're capable of pulling of many similar bargains in the future. It's all about doing the proper groundwork, which we completely ignored earlier. As Pards said, he knew Cisse would be a success because the lad had been scoring shitloads for an inferior team in a league almost as strong as PL. If you get your facts straight, you will more often than not make good buys.
  18. £25 million plus. He wasn't as imperious last season as he was in his first but he had a pretty broken up season, seemed to be trying to stay out of the referee's notebook and when he did have a good game he was absolutely phenomenal. When he's on form he's our most important player by a mile, he completely changes the dynamic of the game. Exactly. As Pards Said, Colo and Tiote are our most important players. Tiote's intensity changes the game completely. Selling Tiote for the same amount as Henderson is not acceptable imo.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Hatem goes back to Clair Fontaine. Contains a clip of him when he was around 14-15 years old too... Still cannot believe he plays for us. I fucking adore him.
  20. He has plenty of games - mostly at home - where he doesn't really make an impact. Defensively Tiote always make and impact when he plays, but he sometimes causes problems for us offensively. eg passes too late.
  21. Will be gutted if he's sold under £25 mill. He got consistency problems, such as not passing soon enough and taking to high risks. Because of that some may underrate him. But when he returned form injury this season it was obvious that he gave the midfield a new dimension. He covers a lot of ground, destroys everybody that challenges him and for a DM his passing is very accurate. And most importantly, Tiote's presence makes the opponent terrified. Nobody turns when Tiote is nearby. The result is a lot more support passes and and that we're able to press higher up on the pitch. So Tiote will have an impact on the game regardless of consistency problems.
  22. Lamp is a good player and deserves that CL-trophy, unlike Drogba (diving cunt) and Terry (racist cunt), but he doesn't have Pirlo's passing abilities in his locker. Pirlo is capable of hitting THE killer pass that nobody saw coming. Like Cabaye's pass against Stoke Chelsea defended heroically, but never again will such an inferior team win the CL. Against Barca: 3 shots on goal scored two. Against Bayern they scored on their first goal attempt. Messi missed on chances that he converts 9 of 10 times..
  23. Is Owen the biggest cunt in the club's history?
