Not he didn’t. He was advanced for loads of the game. In the first half he was left side of the 3 for a lot of it and even right out on the touchline at times.

We have. We have been noticeably deeper. Tonight felt like the first time since ironically, Forest. Where it was glaringly obvious time and again that the defence was pushing high/getting caught high and there was 40 yards of space in behind with Dubs nowhere to be seen.

There was a massive disconnect between the defence and him tonight. Perhaps due to us seemingly pushing a bit higher, getting caught in transitions a lot and the slight tweak to the formation in our build up. Whatever it was. It needs sorting. Didn’t come 2-3 times when I made him favourite to get there. Then comes flying out into no man’s land for their first. Not all on him, mind. As some of the defending to let the ball get there in the first place was shocking.

Not necessarily suited to playing there in Howe’s system. But we really need to try and get him further forward more and not always the deepest midfielder. He was a bit lax at times when getting caught in possession. But two sublime finishes and his passes will do much more damage splitting the defensive line as opposed to the midfield one.

Fucking yes. We were due a bit of luck. Had so many heartbreaks late on this season. I was expecting another. Don’t think we played that well and plenty to work on. But 4 away wins on the spin now. Massive result that!

Not sure what will happen with some of our midfielders in the summer. But I’d take Dominguez in a heartbeat based on this game. Great at timing tackles and also some really nice passing tonight. Glad he’s gone off.

I feel like you are not factoring in so many things to arrive to this conclusion. But if that’s your opinion still, then fair enough. Some of his decision making has been questionable, of course. But no manager is perfect. I still feel he is 100% the right man for us at this current time and that he should get another transfer window and a crack at next season with players returning. Unless of course the wheels properly come off between now and May. I’d be gutted if we lost him and I don’t see who is going to come in, in the here and now and do a better job. I think almost suggesting you’d sort of Partridge shrug if he were to leave is fairly controversial.

Over playing at the back. Not clearing our lines when we had the chance. Players stepping out right at the end of the half. Fucking infuriating watching us shoot ourselves in the foot. Fucking awful all round and piss poor game management.

This Yates is a disgrace. His only skill seems to be using his body as a human missile. Should be booked already for persistent fouling.

Look good in possession. Shape seems decent. Almiron sloppy and when we lose it. We look as wide open as ever. Felt like these were there for the taking. We’ve gifted them a route back in and now they’re much the better side.

That goal is as much on the keeper and Miley getting totally bypassed, IMO. They’re there for the taking and we’ve gifted them a route back into it. They look good all of a sudden. But yeah, Elanga has beaten him twice from two attempts. Massive blindspot from Howe to keep playing him.

Maybe he wouldn’t have got there. But 2-3 times a game. The ball goes through and I expect Dubravka to be coming for it. But he’s either backpedaling or rooted to the spot in the 6 yard box.
