    Paul Dummett

Only saw the second half and about 5 minutes of the first. Made a great tackle towards the end. Lascelles came across at a bad angle, got done for pace down the line, but Dummett turned on the jets and got back for one of his trademark slides. I think he is a very competent defender, with decent recovery pace. A good option away from home. But he shouldn't be starting too many home games.
  2. I saw him and Roeder at Newmarket races a couple of years back. One of my biggest regrets in life, is that I didn't butt in and ask them for a picture. Then ask Owen to take the photo of me and Roeder.
  3. Didn't he play almost exclusively for Bournemouth on the right? No idea who regularly played on the left for them, but I doubt he was stopping Ritchie from playing there. Not saying he can't do a job on the other side. But I'd keep him in his preferred position, on the right.
  4. I doubt Lascelles struggles for birds. Gouffran has nice catlike eyes. Hayden and Dummett are good looking lads. Jesus is the most Spanish looking man going. Which is a good thing for me, as I like Spanish men. Lazaar is too well groomed. Looks a bit tranny'ish. But obviously that's all just a joke. Because I'm well hetero and that and I'm definitely not a puff.
  5. Agree with Joey and Magpie. Also worth pointing out, he was playing against Malta. He would have looked decent on either side, or as a 10.

The draft in the prem How in the fuck would that work, exactly?! His explanation of what he thinks the draft is, is even better
  7. He's always looked a bit slow and has never looked agile enough, to me.
  8. Fair points about Mbemba and Mitro, Yorkie. With all the carnage of the transfer window, and all the incomings and outgoings. I've lost sight of the fact, that we've kept the likes of Lascelles, Mbemba and Mitro. Shelvey, Anita and Dummett will be more than useful over the course of the season, as well.
  9. Happy with how it has gone. Would have preferred a better striker to Daryl Murphy. I think we may be a bit short on goals and a bit lacking in the wide attacking areas. But we have shifted a lot of high earners, players that have no interest in playing for the club and got rid of most of the dead wood. We have also got pretty good depth and competition for places in most areas.
  10. And I meant thirty million yes and not 30 pounds before someone who thinks he's clever, or at least try to make himself feel clever, steps in to correct me. Rafa got Mike's word AND he got it in writing? Well I'm sold. Everythings coming up milhouse. Thanks for the ITK. Yeah. I'm apprehensive about the money being properly invested, to say the least. Obviously, I doubt Rafa could attract the players that he wants for next season. So it seems like we have got a lot of solid, unspectacular, reasonably priced players in. So I can kind of understand why we have turned a profit. When you consider the ridiculous fees we got for Sissoko and Wijnaldum. But I don't for one minute think Ashley is going to loosen the purse strings and give Rafa proper money to spend, if we go up. Our wage bill must be considerably lower, too.
  11. idle curiosity how much have Villa gotten back in? A quick google search makes it look like they have a net spend of about £33m. Spent around £49m and got back about £16m, according to Transfermarkt.
  12. yep. Are you me from 3 weeks ago!? Crucified for that exact comment Oh great. This has started again
  13. He reads a book a week. Achraf Lazaar, yeah, IQ of 142, one of the cleverest blokes I know, certainly the cleverest bloke you know.
  14. And that stupid goal celebration. He was a quality player, for a number of years. But I could never take him seriously with that celebration. It was like a year two gym class, FFS. Cartwheel and then a roly poly? Why did he ever decide that was a good idea? Did he look at the players doing the arab spring/backflip combo and feel left out?
  15. Positionally awful and flattered to deceive going forward. But I always quite liked the mad bastard. Not really massively arsed about him going. But then again, there's only about 3-4 players left that I'd actually be bothered about losing. We've hardly had the most likeable squad in recent years. More profit for Ashley and even less money spent this window. Yay.
  16. Are we still going with "In Rafa we trust?" Or has that changed now we might be signing an Irish 'plodder'
  17. May I ask why? He doesn't seem anything like Rob Lee, to me? He looks like a tricky, pacey winger and he is tiny.
  18. Pure guesswork and speculation from Douglas. Can't see that happening. "Free role behind the striker " is what Brentford fans are saying Just can't see him being given that role in Rafa's system, TBH. I don't mind the signing. Could potentially be like Routledge for us last time. Where he helped us annihilate teams in the second half of the season.
  19. Pure guesswork and speculation from Douglas. Can't see that happening.
  20. If only he was called Alain Juge and we signed him from some shithouse French club. Useless Irish plodder. In all seriousness, though. It does seem a bit odd that we're signing him, when he's crocked. If he was fit, then it would be a decent signing, IMO.
  21. That's my only concern. On paper, he looks a good signing for the division but we really need someone who can slot straight into the team such is the need for a proper left winger. He's just had the screws out of his leg. I don't think we'll be seeing him on the pitch any time soon. I think he plays on both sides, but he's right footed.
  22. Alan Judge is a winger, surely? What's all this centre mid talk?
  23. Desperately need a winger, that can come in and contribute right away. So we look to sign someone who probably won't play again this calendar year? Seems a bit odd. I remember him looking good and scoring a few for Brentford, going off of SSN highlights and I think one Friday night game last season. I hope we'd still be looking to sign another winger, that has both his legs intact.
