I am. Not being able to properly catch up with the game after a win is doing my head in. MOTD was about 5 minutes of highlights, but you got a tiny bit of insight at least. Would quite often watch the hour long highlights on Sky, too. Tuesday night made me consider packing in playing on Saturdays and start going more regularly again. Just can't be arsed with the travelling.
-
I may be wrong. But it looks like it does go in? Watched the highlights back and it looks over the line. Never going to get given, though and it was impossible to call.
-
Because from watching him. He looks awkward with the ball at his feet, he's slow, misses a lot of chances and he doesn't look natural striking a ball in front of goal. I'm not saying I am going to hold him to a ratio similar to Shearer or Aguero , as a yardstick I just don't think he'll ever be someone who we rely on for regular goals. This sounds like I am slating him. I'm not. I really rate him and he is probably my favourite player. I just don't think he'll be consistently scoring for us a lot of goals per season for us.
-
I would like to see Mitro start up there again. He's never going to be prolific. But he is a different option for when we do go long and his hold up play really helps our other attacking players. I watched Wolves' highlights against Barnsley. They seemed to have most the chances, should have scored a couple and looked half decent. Then Barnsley scored in the 73rd minute and somehow netted three more Complete meltdown. 2-0 win. Ritchie and Perez.

I would say so. We were quite cagey at the start of the season, the last time we were in this league. We didn't have anywhere near as good squad depth and our regular starters this time around, are better overall, IMO. We ground out some of the early wins and didn't seem particularly dominant, at times. The second half of the season, we blitzed teams for fun and never really looked too troubled. It is still hard to gauge. As it's early days and I'm not sure if it was us being so good, or QPR being so bad? I guess a bit of both. But the scary thing for other teams in the league is, that we should improve from here. Once there is more chemistry and confidence, and once Rafa gets everyone involved. We could end up surpassing our points total from last time. All of this positivity is leading towards a shit 0-0 or 1-0 loss on Saturday But I haven't felt this happy about the club in a long time.

No worries. I wasn't drinking last night and I was trying to pay particular attention to those I hadn't seen live before. So hopefully they are fairly accurate summaries.
-
Yeah. He was outshone by Shelvey and Perez going forward. But his touch and delivery, are just delightful. The first time ball for Perez was superb and his corners were a threat all night. At one point, Hayden fizzed a 40 yard diagonal to him. He was under a bit of pressure and right on the touchline. Killed it stone dead on his chest and laid it back to Dummett. Had a great 25 yarder that Smithies tipped over. Pretty clever with his passing and movement, too. Nothing that we didn't already know
-
Great listen that. Very interesting what he said about backing the players and not overreacting to setbacks. A few of the fannies on here could definitely do with listening to that bit. Yeah. There are a few fannies on here that don't back players. There's one in particular that overreacts about and hates on Mitro quite regularly

Beat Derby away with those two in midfield. Obviously there's a little bit of shoe-horning to make it two completely different elevens, but not much. Yeah. I guess after seeing Hayden and Shelvey against Brighton and QPR. I want them as our ideal pairing and ideally, Jonjo needs someone who isn't Colback, next to him. Plus, Derby have been shite. That said, Wolves just lost 4-0 at home to Barnsley So not sure they're much better. If we don't get out of this league. Then we want shooting.
-
Colback and Shelvey in a midfield two? No tah. Although I get the point you're making about totally changing the starting XI. I said to my mate last night after about half an hour. I think our 'second XI' would beat QPR.
-
Got flagged offside when clean through one on one Hard to judge how he was at left back. As we were fully taking the piss by then and they had given up.
-
Yep. You can tell he came through Arsenal's system. He really does look comfortable on the ball and is happy to receive a pass in tight areas. Usually just gets it out his feet, makes a quick turn and then moves the ball on quickly.
-
The rotation system had me a bit worried. But it has been great, so far. Gamez, Lazaar and Murphy, couldn't even make the bench last night and Mbemba was out injured. We have such a deep, talented squad at this level. That it is worth persevering with. I think we have much more depth than last season, as well. Just perhaps not as many decent starters. The likes of Clark and Hanley getting minutes and grabbing a goal each. Mitro and Perez both getting a start and playing well. It's all going to help morale and boost confidence. The players probably aren't going to get in too much of a strop about not playing. When anyone half decent, knows they'll probably be playing at least 1 in 3. I don't know if QPR are just a bit shit and not as fit as us. But the energy levels shown by both teams. were a world apart. They looked gassed early on and couldn't live with us. Oh and Rafa has no chill whatsoever. It was 6-0 in the 88th minute and he sent everyone up for a corner, apart from Anita and Sels
-
I think it was mainly because of how well we played, how balanced the team was and just them being in shock, really. But MY WORD (Ray Wilkins), they looked horrendous. Could barely do the basics right and looked s*** scared after about 15 minutes. Don't want to take away anything from us, though. 10-0 wouldn't have flattered us and they could have had no complaints. It was the most dominant game I've seen from us in my lifetime. We must have had about 30 shots and wasted some really good openings, too. Shelvey MOTM. Hayden or Perez would have got it on any other day.
-
TBF to him, he made a couple of decent saves, actually caught a cross and he didn't really do a lot of flapping or his usual punching. Always looks comfortable passing it out from the back, which Rafa obviously likes. Very hit and miss when going long, though. But still better than our other keepers distribution, from what I have seen.
-
Based on last night. This guy is our best signing of the summer and represents great value. I'm not sure I remember him giving the ball away? He wins a lot in the air, solid in the tackle, plays off both feet and just always looks so assured in possession. He obviously took offence to Jonjo pinging diagonals. So he pulled off an even better one to Ritchie, then another a minute later off his left foot. Everyone played well and there were so many good performances from the attacking players. But if not for Shelvey basically being a 10/10. He would have been my MOTM.
-
He is FAST. Good skills, all left foot, unlucky not to score. He looks a bit unsure with his final ball, he made the wrong decision quite often. I think he will be a useful player for us. Especially when games get a bit stretched or we want to play on the counter.
-
Technically, he was probably the best player on the pitch. Some of his touches and changes of direction were just unfair. He was turning QPR defenders inside out all night. I do think he was actually a bit wasteful in front of goal, though. He must have been in behind about 7-8 times. Only to make the wrong decision, run it into trouble, not finish well or slip over. What really impressed me, was his strength and speed. He kept making diagonal runs on the blindside of defenders, either catching them off balance and nicking it off them, or he'd out jump them and head it on and breeze past. A few times, he won the ball back, by out muscling the centre half. Something I'm not used to seeing.
-
Held it up really well and actually ran the channels quite well at times. Still looks clumsy, slow and indecisive with the ball at feet. But he looked after the ball most of the time and let others get forward and join in the attack. The header looked like a good effort to me? I'm sure the keeper got a touch? It did seem like he could have brought it down or waited for it to drop. But he always seems keen to try and head it when he can. Love the mad bastad and I'm happy he got his goal. As it looked like it wasn't going to happen at one point. He had quite a few chances and near misses before that. Yep. I was surprised at that. Looked like a genuine 4-4-2.
-
He was absolutely outrageous. One of the most dominat midfield displays I have seen for us and he didn't look like he was even trying. He should have ended with a hat trick and 3-4 assists. He was splitting the QPR defence with through balls on a regular basis and he just dominated the game. I was directly in line with the second goal. It seemed to be in the air for ages, but it was one of them where you knew it was in. Think it hit the bar and post Not to try and put a downer on it. But a word of caution. I couldn't quite believe how much time and space he got! It was like WBA and West Ham, but they were about 5 yards further off him. I was amazed at how well we passed it about. Even when under pressure, we still tried to play. So I don't know if it was more by accident than design, from Jimmy Floyd. But they started standing off us quite early on. I can't imagine too many teams will want to be giving him that much time, after last night's game. Highlight of the night was him going into the goal, stealing Smithies water, necking a load of it and then throwing it back over his head Cheeky c***

I see someone on twitter saying it looks like Derek Acorah

This for NUFC? Was that when we had a good spell at the end of the season? Where he played in behind Viduka and Martins? He looked half decent for a few games, granted. But he was nothing like Scholes, FFS and he didn't even play the same role. Some serious revisionist history here

Wasn't one of those Pardew's first game too? Such a blood boiling cretin. Liverpool at home he scored one. No idea on the other?

Going to this one. First game I have looked forward to in ages. Never been to Loftus Road. Looks a shithole. I think and hope we'll sneak a 2-1 win.
