Joey Barton in the Waggon & Horses in Newmarket on Thursday night. Was being pestered by some bird that was off her face. I saw him again at the races on the Friday. He threw three betting slips on the floor. Community service obviously taught him nothing the litter bug! Looks even smaller than I remember. He's about 5ft 8" or 9 and looks about 11 stone wet through.
-
Swear he has people scour the internet looking for criticisms and then just says what the fans have been saying all season. He told us what we wanted to hear before. Implementing his (our) ideas is another matter entirely. He can't do it, as he's an average, one dimensional manager.

Wow. That's much worse than I remembered it! Fuckers like this deserve to lose.
-
OUCH! Didn't someone do similar in the ACN from a few years back? There was a game where a team were 2 or 3 up with about 7 minutes to go. Some muppet put about 40 grand on to make £80 and the other team pulled it back to draw

Tragic and hilarious in equal measure.

How was everyone's Ascot then? I ended up £170 up and bet on almost every race. Only small stakes and the odd £10 e/w/£20 bet when I fancied something. I'm usually against having more than one selection per race. But I think at the big meetings, it can be a shrewd move. Quite often you've got reasonable prices due to the size and or quality of the field. I will often have 2 or 3 fancies per race and I really can't split them. More and more this season I've been betting on the nose and on something e/w at a price in races. As long as you don't bet silly, it can be a good tactic. It's working for me so far anyway. Hillstar, Estimate and Sole Power were my big winners. Plus I somehow had Roca Tumu and Tarikhi e/w at 25s and 40s! Only £2.50 e/w though sadly.

I'm done with paying money to watch NUFC. Oh, except my Sky Sports subscription of course. What a disaster. Joke club.

still can't quite believe this is true! I'm sure it's been done to death, but this must be to do with some kind of legal dispute after the heart attack. I know he talks a lot of shit, but he went on about a two year deal that was all signed and ready to go and he would be returning as manager. It's the only logical explanation I can think of. But even then, it doesn't make a lot of sense. We had one decent season where we weren't in the papers for all the wrong reasons and we had some relative success. Seems like we've taken about 10 steps back this last year. Joke club.

Probably missed this being explained a few pages back, but why didn't he have a problem with Virgin Money? Does the Quaran mention typical APR and have a maximum % before it is unacceptable and they kick up a fuss? I find all this very odd if true. This is the same Cisse that frequents Aspers FFS. Seems like he wants away.

Anyone having a bet on the Oaks and Derby? Seem to remember there are a few horse racing fans and a few gambling addicts that have a flutter on the gee gee's Liber Nauticus in the Oaks and Ruler of the World e/w in the Derby for me.

He's struggling to keep up his arrogant, cocky demeanour. Ego dented and sounds a broken, upset and confused man. Still can't believe he's still going on about the sunderland reaction. There should be way more heat on him. The fucker got off lightly, as did the players.
-
So following on from his Bruce like comments, he's provided the media with yet more cringeworthy sound bites. Unbelievably small time and embarrassing. Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse. He tries a bit of point scoring and has a petty sly dig and then has the cheek to say the reaction is a bit heavy handed Maybe you haven't been keeping up on current events, but we just got our asses kicked Pards. 3-0 as well.. Dead man walking.

Carroll?? Oh hell no.

Still not sure how people are expecting him to learn from his mistakes? He's been here 2 and a half seasons! He's following his career trend of starting well, fading, then it all going to shit. I was more than willing to give him the benefit of the doubt this season. Despite concerns about formations and playing styles. But from about November/December onwards, it's been painfully obvious he doesn't have a clue and doesn't plan on changing anything. The set pieces, distance between the midfield and forward(s) and aimless long balls up field just reitirate the fact. He is incapable of changing things for the good, or too stubborn to do so. The football is only marginally better, because of the new players and those returning from injury. The rest of the season on the whole has been pretty painful. Constantly out played by lesser teams, with more organised squads and tactics. Home losses to some utter dross and against sides with poor away records. A pathetic and worrying away record, that I can't see improving and probably a whole lot more I've forgot to mention. The derby was the final straw for me and many others. Yes the players have to take some of the blame. But this is arguably the most talented side I've seen properly in my lifetime and it's being totally wasted.
-
Hopefully the players go above him and voice their concerns to Ashley or whoever and they make the right decision (no not sell all of our decent players). Cabaye and Cisse in particular seem throroughly pissed off. Colo, our captain, can't wait to fuck off for whatever reason. Although there was the spat with Pardew and all the rumours that followed. The new lads look frustrated and have gradually got worse since they've been here. Surely they must be fed up of his kick and run tactics as well? You'd like to hope so anyway. But then they might just be happy picking up their pay cheque and getting on with it. They might even really enjoy playing for him

The only consolation for me is that I don't live in the NE and I hopefully won't have to see any of her mackem family for a long while. Never felt so low after a game and I think I include Villa away in that. At least the relegation was expected and was coming all season. Feel for anyone that has the misfortune of having to work with mackems or live in split areas. Would kill me listening to them go on about it. Oh and to the fan that booted the metal railings over, that nearly crushed a small child. You are a cunt and you're not cool for wearing your snap back on backwards.

Out, but at the end of the season. He was embarrassed by a managerial novice yesterday and we've been outplayed by teams with worse players and less resources than us the whole time he's been here. He's wasting a talented squad and yesterday was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. It was nearly as bad as the relegation IMO and I can't remember feeling so low after a game? At least with the relegation, you could see it coming as we had a team full of shit, mixed with mercs and we were so poorly run, it was almost laughable. But this? I didn't see this result in a million years, I actually felt quietly confident for a change. I saw some managerial comparison stats on twitter and it doesn't look good for him. Only skimmed it, but seems his win% is farily low and the stats back up how useless we are at set pieces, how negative we are (not much possession in opposition's half, plenty in our own) and also how many long balls we play per game. I've not got up for many games this season, despite the 5th place finish last season and constantly going to a lot of matches during the shit years. I've not been overly bothered, as it just doesn't seem like he's learnt from his mistakes, or that he plans on changing his horrendous style of play. The clueless attacking displays and woeful set plays being my main gripes. As others have said, he's here until we get relegated.

a mewn bewt shewerly? Class
-
Him and Cheik training today then? Would be great to have them both fit for the derby. Debuchy is a feisty fucker as well as being class and it's the sort of game where you want Tiote IMO.
-
Seeing how long he took to get up to speed last season and how off the pace he looked against Anji. I'm not holding out much hope of him being our svaiour. Still be great to see him back playing though. Games just aren't as enjoyable or exciting without him. I hope he's 100% and will play a part between now and the end of the season. Pardew saying today in the chron the hamstring hasn't fully healed?!
-
Ah but remember this is Dr.Pardew we're on about. He could tread on a land mine and just be a doubt. But on the other hand, he could have a broken nail and be out for the season. Never trust Nick Riviera.
-
You were the better side. But statistics never lie?! What a crock of shit!
-
The amount we pass back to our keeper, I am surprised it's taken this long for this to happen! We actually have quite decent possession stats in Europe. But about 90% of it seems to be in our half. 10 passes along the back 4, lay it back to the keeper, hoooooof. Rinse and repeat.
-
I can't see them playing such a suicidal high backline at SJP. If not for the post twice and Marveaux choosing not to pass, Cisse could have easily had 4 goals. Granted they had a lot of chances themselves, but we looked like we'd weathered the strom until we gifted them 2 sitters. That's what hurts most really. If one of their quality passing moves ended in a goal, or one of their potshots from outside the box flew in. Then fair enough. But we've imploded and gift wrapped them the tie. I think 1-1 would have been a fantastic result, 2-1 would have been ok, 3-1 is just too much. I think we'll leave a lot of space attacking them and they've supposedly been scoring a lot away from home in Europe. I just don't think we'll be able to keep a clean sheet and I don't see us scoring 3 or 4 goals! If we score in the first 20 minutes, I think the crowd will believe and we could actually pull it off. Going to be a nerve wracking game though!
