  1. That new lid Looks a bit like Jamie Lee Curtis in True Lies in that scene
  2. Had it on the radio out walking the youth in his push chair. So not seen anything. But it sounds like Chelsea have been far from convincing again. Long may it continue. So long as they drop points, of course!
  3. He’s going to be a huge miss for the run in. You’d imagine even a minor knee problem and no surgery is going to see him missing 3-4 weeks.
  4. Was it a knee injury that kept him out earlier in the season? Could be unrelated or the other knee. But I’m sure he has gone down and been flexing his knee in a few games recently.
  5. TBF, it’s only David Edgar in here so far aint it. Shock.
  6. We’re fucked lads. 30 minutes against a shite Everton side clearly shows they’re now mint and they’ll batter everyone. Including us
  7. Agree on CB. Top of my list for sure. As for the keeper. You’re talking about one of the best keepers in world football, certainly with the ball at his feet and also playing in a team that sets up for that ball into midfield. Are we suddenly going to change to that with someone like Trafford? I have my doubts, personally. Although it would help with our build up, of course. It’s all well and good saying those 2 players transform us. But we’ve seen what Isak is like when he plays half fit or does 3 games a week. He has looked half fit at times this season and that’s without Europe. We’d soon be needing said back up striker. I also think the RW argument is similar to the keeper one. Murphy has some great strengths and some massive weaknesses. If we were to get a more technical player in that position. Then surely we could have better control of the ball in the final third and they could contribute in other ways other than almost exclusively crosses and shots. Murphy would be a great player for certain games and we’d have competition there. Oh and If you’re using Villa as a comparison with Martinez. I’d argue they’ve showed how important ‘back ups’ and squad depth is. Look how they’ve managed to assemble a squad of two players for each position. With the line being blurred at times for who is the starter. They’ve managed to compete on all fronts because of this. I wouldn’t want us to. But we could get away with another season of Pope and Dubravka. We couldn’t with Wilson/no striker and only Murphy as the right wing option.
  8. Don’t get that personally. Wilson will surely be off. Leaving us with Gordon as a back up, who is shite up front. Then Osula who hasn’t been trusted when the game’s won or gone. RW is also basically just Jacob Murphy. As Gordon and Barnes are so ineffective there/don’t want to play there/Howe doesn’t like playing them there. Pope and Dubravka have different faults and I get a better ball playing keeper would potentially kick us on. But a RW/ST is just behind the CB, for me. Not even close to the weakness of goalkeeper. We’ve pretty much had one striker all season and that feels a dangerous game to try again.
  9. Not sure he deserves to start ahead of Murphy or Barnes. But it is annoying that he seems ineffective/uninterested on the right. Albeit based on a small sample size. As if he could do a job that side. We’d have an even deadlier set of wingers/wide forwards. It would also mean we could stop shoehorning Barnes in on the right when Gordon comes on.
  10. Why? What’s he done to show he deserves a start ahead of Barnes in the last however many weeks/months? What has Barnes done to be dropped?
  11. I reckon they’re more like New Holland fan boys. Based on the colour scheme.
  12. A quick CB RW/ST Back up striker if we don’t get a wide forward type GK CM
  13. I can’t imagine what it must be like to go through life and be so depressive and negative all the while. Wyn is probably this guy:
  14. Worth noting that no fucker scored goals under Dyche bar the CB's, I think Not sure what has happened with Beto recently. As I don't think he has been playing. But Moyes came in and suddenly he looked like a competent striker and scored a few close together. Looked a totally different player to when he seemed worse than useless under Dyche. I'm not saying I'm mad keen on DCL. But on a free and if the wages aren't daft. I think it's a pretty decent back up and a different type of player to Isak to bring on in games. Wouldn't be against it if the rumours were true. Of course I'd rather we signed Delap if he was interested in coming here to sit on the bench and turned down countless other offers. Or Mbuemo who could cover two positions. But I don't think they are particularly realistic and would cost too much for what they are bringing to the squad.
  15. Great minds I shouted this almost word for word at a load of Liverpool fans in the pub who were giving it the big'un after the offside
  16. Didn't help that we didn't have Botman to aggressively go into their half and cut off the direct ball into the likes of Rogers and McGinn. He was so important doing that in the 3-1 win there last season. Burn and Schar have been doing it most the season, as well. But both got found lacking, not knowing whether to stick or twist and getting caught in no man's land. They got zero help from Trippier tucking in or from the midfield screening in front of them. Was all too disjointed and open. Anyway, fuck them. We can finish above them if we don't royally fuck this up.
  17. They also have a lot more injuries than that game and have been playing poorly for a number of weeks now. They’ve also been all but relegated for months. It really should not be a nervy game if we are even at our average and a bit below our best. Not having Muric in goal is a shame for us, though. He has chucked in loads this season.
  18. Hasn’t he been resting players with the ECL in mind now they’re at the business end of the competition?
  19. I’d love him here. We’ll just be priced out on wages if we were interested and we’d have to change the system slightly to accommodate him. But I think it would be worth it.
  20. VAR, or more the way it is implemented over here. Has made them worse and even more indecisive. Glad we have technology to improve the game though……
  21. Sunday they may have nicked it late on. But that was their first away win since early December, I believe. They also drew at home with Ipswich the game before and haven’t been in great form at all. With most of their fans sick to death of their manager. Even their winning streak before that at home was pretty much exclusively against teams down the bottom.
  22. He is terrible. Just because he’s suddenly found some end product doesn’t change that fact. He’s a headless chicken most the while. Exciting to watch at least. Edit - terrible in the context of what Man City should be expecting.
  23. Right. I know they’ve just scored and it was a combination of two of their worst players But Is Pep back to his weird phase of not making any subs and being really stubborn and persistent with a system that doesn’t work? I mean who am I to critique one of the best to ever do it. But seems odd to only make one change and leave the likes of Grealish, Lewis, Savinho and Foden on the bench. I suppose the ends have justified the means tonight.
  24. They had plenty mid-season. Especially at CB.
  25. Not really realistic though is it? Pep seems to love him.
