@Alberto2005 You know what you have to do

It doesn't really matter where or how you draw the lines, the problem is in the interpretation and implementation. You're still gonna get cases where it's right on the edge so some primary school prowler is going to spend 5 minutes meticulously examining the replay before making whichever decision is best for Cartel Utd. Just take VAR off offsides and let the lino make the call. Limit VAR to serious foul play or, even better, scrap the whole stupid idea.

Congratulations, Jacob, here's a picture of me.

Puts the whole 'in front or behind' question in a new light.

I reckon there might be something in that in the way that he might want to bring his kid up in Italy rather than the UK.

It's the difference between having Tino at right back or old man Trippier. Hall or Burn, Bruno or Willock. Same for most other clubs. Yes, technically we all have 25 professional footballers to choose from but the gap in quality can be large.

Aye What we're doing isn't working though so there's little point in persisting with it, hard to imagine worse results if we tried something else. Unfortunately we don't have the luxury of spending weeks or months on the training ground perfectly drilling every aspect and pattern. In my opinion we'd be better off just getting the basics down and building the plane as we fly, so to speak. They're professional footballers at the end of the day, it's not like we're asking them to learn a whole new sport. Hell, modify the 5-3-2 we use to have one of the CBs screening the defence as a deep DM and push one of the 3 mids up into the no.10 spot where Woltemade can thrive. Simplified, obviously, and nobody should probably be taking football or any other kind of advice from me but something like that I'd imagine our lot could adapt to in fairly short order and improve on it as we go. I trust Howe to be able to come up with something our players could get the hang of without needing months on the training pitch and which would get the best out of them. I reckon he'll do it too.

I have faith he'll turn it around and I'll back him to the hilt to do it. We couldn't ask for a better fit as manager for our club, the man is intelligent, dignified, calm and measured and works his bollocks off. He's bought into the club and the area and he deserves our backing and loyalty to get through a tough period. I have a feeling that the result at the weekend might have been enough of a shock to the system that we'll see some big changes going forward. Sometimes it takes a hit like that to wake you up and bring the resolve to make wholesale structural changes to a plan that isn't working. Let's see what he comes up with on Tuesday.

Not exactly a perfect choice of picture

Why not create a thread with all your compilations in it? Can add new ones as you go. Maybe check with the mod squad first @Yorkie

Have we really sunk this far?

Him being so tall hurts him a bit I think. If you planned out your system like he was 5'4" it'd probably work better for him.

Doesn't make much sense tbh. Even taking the nearest extra-solar star, if you aimed for that and got the moon instead you'd only have achieved 0.00000096% of your goals which seems like a massive fail.

My ITK sources tell me we've got between zero and 700 billion quid to spend in the summer. You heard it here first.

We'll hold onto him and he'll see out his contract imo. Either that or we'll renew it for 45 years or something equally dumb.
-
A little harsh. People have there own circumstances and their may be things going on in they're lives your not aware of. Give him some time and he'll get their.
-
He's the partridge shrug in player form.

The problem with this tactic is that we don't have anyone who is any good at getting on the end of them.
