No, no, they've had a transfer summit. A summit, man. Gives you a tingle in the balls does that.

Same bullshit every year. Still looks like nobody's noticed we don't have a defence anarl.

Not that bothered what happens tbh. If we win it's all good and if we lose it drags the mackems further into trouble. Fucking love mid table mediocrity me, the excitement is almost too much to bear.

We haven't reported a profit before player trading yet. Operating profit for the last 7 years has been... -29.0m -24.7m -37.7m -33.5m -3.9m -5.1m -0.6m I'd expect us to spend in Summer. Conveniently ignoring the mahoosive tv deal Why discount player trading btw? Does that money not count?

The 0-6 was horrendous and worse for being at home. That Liverpool team is also nowhere near the quality of this City team either. The 7-3 away at Arsenal though was nowhere near yesterdays humiliation for me. There was a real difference to that one. The team were always in the game, giving it their all and basically ran out of legs because of the tough fixtures, while Arsenal were well rested. It looked bad, but it was understandable and more excusable, at least for me. Yesterday was an utter disgrace for the sheer lack of effort. The simple things like not tracking the man that you're just letting run right past you. That lack of effort is pathetic and unacceptable. A lot of it comes down to Carver's lack of authority. He doesn't have any because of his personality and he doesn't have any as a temporary manager to a team already considering where they'll holiday this Summer. Can you imagine an Alex Ferguson team playing with that little effort. He'd have gone in after and had such an outburst, involving smashing things up, that the players would fear for their lives if they ever played with such low effort again. Instead we have Carver saying the players will go away and think about it. You honestly couldn't make it up. He makes the wrong call at every turn. I'm not one for promoting autocratic or angry management, but there's a time for softly softly management and yesterday was not it. There needs to be a balance of the nice guy approach and the kick up the arse when needed. Yesterday was a time for some arse kicking. Eugh mate that 0-6 defeat brings back painful memories. Had been working my arse off down in Sussex for 15 days straight, drove up with the mrs on the Saturday with hotel booked, dinner, Platinum club tickets etc (it cost me a fortune...you get the jist). Had a pleasant drink in Shearer's before the game with the sun out and everything was looking good...the tonic to my hard work in the previous days. Then Pardew and our players entered the pitch. Ended up being a fucking shit weekend, drove back down south the next day hungover, penniless, pissed off, with a broken wing mirror (thanks whoever that was) and I managed to cut my dick ever so slightly in my jeans' zipper. Just to add insult to injury the A1, M25 and M23 were absolutely rammed with traffic which was odd for a Sunday. Haven't been back to SJP since, last time I watched the lads play was away at Fulham last March in that turgid, horrible 1-0 defeat. Sometimes it's easy to forget how long its been since its been enjoyable to follow the club. http://cdn.calciopro.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/bendtner.jpg

We're making £50m profit a year at the moment. Investing £50m a year into the first team would make a massive difference and that's without sending the club into debt, without borrowing, without stupid installments. Simply investing our profits would see us competing at the right end of the table (including a proper salary for a real manager).

Not worthy of a thread - 2018 FIFA World Cup edition

We'd be the only fans happy that our English players had pissed off for a month -
That's true enough. Seems La Parisien is also running with this story. May have legs. Fits the bill - got ASSE up to 4th spending virtually nowt. Yes but you need to remember that everyone, the fans, the press, pundits etc are looking at this from a sporting point of view. It makes sense from that vantage point. The people running the club, however, are looking at things from a different perspective.

Every single time during Ashley's reign that we've had a chance to do something that might push us on and improve us as a football club we've taken the shit option.

From Greek Classics to discussions on the best way to wipe your arse. Welcome to NO

ffs, Garde is perfect for us. Not too convinced by Galtier.

Yeah, if only we had an owner worth billions. The only difference between Ashley and the owners of the top clubs is that Ashley has no interest in winning anything, he got into this to promote his other business which doesn't require any form of success or ambition. An owner with a quarter of Ashley's money but a genuine ambition to make this club what it could be would see us challenging for honours and SJP rocking every other week. Unfortunately we're destined to zombie on until someone with a sense of honour, tradition, and ambition rides to the rescue.

Surprising that the players perform as if they can't be bothered and put in one of the worst displays in recent memory after you tell them it doesn't matter if they lose and don't really have a chance.
-
I just can't understand why we feel the need to constantly play people out of position when we have perfectly good players for that position sitting on the bench / rotting in the reserves / being sent on loan. You could make a case for it if we were in the midst of an injury crisis but not when we have decent options like Abeid going unused.

Can't get a penalty if you're not in the box.

Aye, that's the way it usually works with young footballers

Most boring poster 2015 sorted already.

This derby is going to give you cancerous eye aids. It'll be used for years to come in Jordanian prisons to extract information from suspected terrorists until it's banned by the UN under human rights laws.

I like him as a player and i'd have him in the side ahead of Colback for sure but if Cabella is fit I don't see where we can fit him in. While i'd have him in the side ahead of Colback, i'd have Abeid ahead of both of them. Play Sissoko a bit deeper with Abeid in a two with Abeid sitting. ReCabs in the no. 10 role with Cisse up top flanked by Perez and Armstrong like this: Cisse Perez Armstrong Cabella Sissoko Abeid Anita would make the bench as cover I suppose but then we also have De Jong to come back () pushing him further down the pecking order. Quite simply i don't think Colback, Tiote or Anita are going to make a difference to us at this point, albeit for different reasons, and we should be looking for a quality CM along with a winger and two CBs in the summer as a minimum.

Still 25 minutes left

Bet the chronicle are still licking his arse tomorrow. 'EXCLUSIVE: GOUFFRAN - HOW JOHN INSPIRED US TO KEEP IT TO SINGLE FIGURES'

Bet Garde is frothing at the gash watching this

Why's Perez taking corners?

We look like we have no ideas going forward and no plan at the back. Fucking shambles.
