  1. Like that chick on street fighter 2 but without the boobies and skimpy outfit.
  2. With all the great potential transfers we've screwed up and missed out on and just not 'got over the line' you know that the Carlton Cole transfer will sail through smooth as butter

The Departed, I think. Really? I genuinely didn't recognise that bit. Hmmm, I'm losing my marbles. Makes you unique around here then

If we were competing at the very top level would you begrudge paying more to watch it? More than the nothing I pay now? Not at all. A 10% rise in season ticket prices though would net us around an extra £3m a year though, or one Obertan and would cause anguish and gnashing of teeth amongst the faithful. The common fan is nothing compared to TV money.

Newcastle United ‏@NUFCOfficial 1m Season tickets will be a bargain at only a 25% increase next season! Big thanks to NO's Jordan!

We should aim for a sugar daddy / Russian Billionaire / anyone in Arab. Dunno, i'm torn on that. I like our club the way it is. Nobody is laying us fat stacks, we do it ourselves. In the same vein I think George Osbourne and Richard Branson are both t***s but I respect Branson a lot more. Been thinking about this today, and things "we do ourselves" has given us mediocre finishes, a relegation, a Europa league finish, and a 16th place finish. What exactly have we done ourselves? This post is NOT aimed at you loki man, just really wondering about this whole thing. Mind you, I'm a finance person - I've always been fond of our lack of indebtedness to a bank and how we've scouted great young players before others have. I'm just sort of thinking I've fallen into the Ashley trap here. I went to uni in newcastle way back when. I worked 30 hours a week to pay my rent, tuition etc. Missed loads of classes due to work but I still got my degree, I didn't have any other choice. The guy I was living with was studying law and his father was a lawyer. His parents were divorced so he never had to work a day the whole 4 years. He got full grants, full loans and a generous allowance each month from his dad. His degree is worth no more than mine in the real world. Even to him, his degree is worth just as much as mine, as it should be, but you're damn fucking straight I worked harder for it and that does give me some pride.

We should be aiming for 1st not 7th. 7th would be ok. 10th would be shit but acceptable as long as there are signs of progress. Thats my view.

We should be aiming for that, why not? Are we aiming for that or is that the absolute worst we should expect?
  12. We still have the cups! Til we draw Brighton.

Yeah, that £700m didn't affect anything at all.

Man Utd Man City Chelsea Nailed on top 3.In any order ya fancy, due to managerial changes. Arsenal: investment being mooted heavily. Spurs: May even have new manager? Napoli sniffing for AVB? Benitez to Spurs? Scousers red: Full pre season and recruitment under blobfish. 2nd season of "improvement" Probable next 3, maybe pushing each other around positions wise Scousers blue. Interesting with new guy coming in. May drop a bit, may not. Then..... This is where a minimum challenge from us should begin. Minimum. Pushing for 7th, good run, confidence on the up may take us close and knocking on door of 6th/5th. Minimum. The squad we already have with 2/3 quality ready made 1st team additions, plus a couple of younger players for depth is more than capable of this imo. Problem is I can't see it. At all. Ridisculously bad business if nowt else. Sign some talented footballers. Hope to showcase them in PL and maybe Europe for couple of seasons, move em on for profit...but you have an idiot manager unable to get best from them.Sign talented youngsters, same business model. Plays them in wrong postions, in wrong roles. They are playing badly, demotivated, discouraged by the negative tactics, the "anti footballing" strategies of this clown. Their form drops, their value drops. Manager publicly slags of European competition, what an incentive to join us. Unrest. Club fannys around in mire of relegation fodder. You lose out on the profits from sell ons. All for the want of having a postive, tactically aware and astute modern coach to back up your model. Madness, So minimum eh? You think the absolute worst, the absolute bottom of the barrel we should do next season is come 7th?

What fucking planet are you living on? 1969. 1969. 44 years ago. Jesus wept, i'm only 34 and I can remember the shite times. Yes, we could do better in the cups, I don't see anyone saying we shouldn't. The only time we've challenged top six consistently in my lifetime is when we've had two of the most brilliant managers in the game (keegan was brilliant for us).

I passed 2000 posts somewhere in this crap. I pray it wasn't the bear post
  19. It's a little disturbing that you'd suck off a bear rather than be sucked off by a bear. In short, what's in it for you?

Not like Everton, Arsenal or Swansea are tearing up trees. Much rather be in Villa or Stoke's position. Just look at the table, there is no correlation at all.
  21. Yeah, what kind of sicko thinks of sucking off a bear?

It's just fucking bizarre how attitudes have shifted. I've kept a consistent position on the twat and yet I find myself on the other side. It's like one of those things where someone says 'if you want to suck off this large diseased polar bear, step forward' and everyone else takes one step back.

That's more like it. I've been watching us for too long to expect anything really but do you see how, when talking in the context of crisis talks and the manager's job being on the line, Dekka can't come out and say that? Not least the media shite that'll follow it but what if we have a decentish season and finish 7th? Sack him? 10th is a good starting baseline for us. It won't be a good season but it also won't be the clusterfuck we've just witnessed. That's our minimum expectation. Disclaimer: If the football is still shite get rid. I want Pardew sacked but if you're attacking the board then your ire is being misdirected.
